Jim Valvano, legendary NC State basketball coach and ESPN announcer, established The V Foundation for Cancer Research in 1993 with ESPN. Its goal is to help find cures for cancer by funding cancer research. It seeks to accomplish this through fundraising, philanthropy, advocacy and education. The Foundation is overseen by a nationally focused volunteer board of directors and is active in all 50 states. The Foundation's Scientific Advisory Board, comprised of an internationally recognized group of research physicians, reviews grant proposals, selects research projects to support and continues to identify new and alternative ways to become a leader in the field of cancer research.

The American Brain Foundation supports vital research and education to discover causes, improved treatments, and cures for brain and other nervous system diseases.  

The mission of the Period Abundance Foundation is to eradicate period poverty through the distribution of safe, reusable, sustainable period underwear in partnership with grassroots, community-led organizations. In times of crisis, The Period Abundance Foundation works closely with those on the ground to provide period products to those who menstruate, grounded in a belief that period products are a basic human right and should be accessible and free for all.

The California Fire Foundation, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, provides emotional and financial assistance to families of fallen firefighters, firefighters and the communities they protect.

Founded in 2000 by brothers Albert Rose and Michael Rosenzweig, PhD, the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying effective PF treatments and assisting those living with the disease. The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, founded in 2016, is a 501c3 dog rescue organization working on both a domestic and international front to help create a better world for dogs globally. Although we are a Los Angeles based Foundation, our story begins in Yulin, China. After becoming aware of the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and witnessing the horrific images of slaughter and abuse that the dogs in Yulin face, our founders Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd began the long journey towards trying to stop the barbaric torture practices in Yulin and end the dog meat trade in Asia. Together with their partner, Dr. John Sessa, they launched the campaign Stop Yulin Forever. The movement gained momentum and has inspired activists all over the world to end the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and encourage more humane treatment for dogs worldwide. The Vanderpump Dog Foundation was formed to not only aid in ending this international atrocity, but to also better the lives of dogs domestically. The United States faces many problems of its own including dog overpopulation, abuse, neglect and lack of education with regards to spaying and neutering pets. The Foundation is built on a platform of education, legislation, and activism. The Vanderpump Dog Foundation has both short and long term goals. Our approach is both pragmatic and political. With grassroots campaigns like free spay/neuter days for rescue pet owners in Los Angeles, to global health studies with the World Health Organization to ban the consumption of dog meat, The Vanderpump Dog Foundation has a multifaceted approach to creating a better world for man’s best friend.

Committed to action, the Get Together Foundation delivers aid, care, comfort and innovative housing solutions to our community’s most vulnerable citizens.GTF organizes volunteers for citizen action to impact the homeless crisis in Los Angeles by securing contributions and in-kind donations from like-minded individuals committed to uplifting vulnerable humans. The Get Together Foundation provides full-service support: food, clothing, and yes, even music to people who are not in proximity to traditional mission services.
