Because democracies rely upon a well-educated citizenry, CCLET’s mission is to engage Canadians in developing the habits they need to participate in the democratic process. Among the outreach programmes of the Canadian Civil Liberties Trust are Civil Liberties in the Schools and Teaching Civil Liberties. These programs focus on getting students to ask critical questions about their rights and freedoms. By shining the light of inquiry on unfairness, we begin the process of change. Through CCLET guest speakers, conferences, and workshops for schools and community organizations, participants are engaged in lively discussions about their rights and freedoms and the important legal and civil liberties issues created by a pluralistic society. Particular emphasis is on providing programmes for student teachers, and high school law and social studies students.

Hidden Villa was founded by Frank and Josephine Duveneck, who purchased the land in 1924 and offered it as a gathering place for discussion, reflection, and incubation of social reform. Over the following decades, the Duvenecks established the first Hostel on the Pacific Coast (1937), the first residential multiracial summer camp (1945), and Hidden Villa’s Environmental Education Program (1970). The Trust for Hidden Villa was established as an educational nonprofit in 1960. Today this 1600 acre community gem, in Los Altos Hills, provides opportunities to learn about the world around us and each other, participate in sustainable food systems, and develop the next generation of green educators, innovative farmers, and thoughtful leaders. Hidden Villa's mission is to inspire a just and sustainable future through our programs, land, and legacy.

GaLTT has a multi-year plan to establish a continuous system of public trails from one end of the island to the other between Descanso Bay and Drumbeg Provincial Park. We're very close to our goal now but negotiations with private landowners and government bodies are in progress, and we hope to achieve our goal SOON. Gabriola Land & Trails Trust (GaLTT) is successfully achieving objectives as shown by the strategic plan on our website. This past year (2012) has been productive. We have implemented numerous trail licences to provide public access across private lands. Licensed trails are one of the ways used to provide trail linkages in our community. Many trails and shore accesses are provided on undeveloped road allowances. Protection of island ecosystems is enhanced through securing conservation covenants (easements), and through advocacy in favour of parks and conservation. We have established land acquisition fund for the future purchase of lands.

We are a non-profit performing arts organization committed to gradual and sustainable growth in order to remain true to our core mission: to produce exciting professional live music, theatre and humanities events rooted in strong social values.

Protecting Door County's exceptional lands and waters forever.

Provide support to Utah National Guard service members through our programs of emergency relief. Injured service member support, youth programs support, annual veteran's day program and the non-denominational Camp William.

We are working to preserve local land through conservation easements and land acquisition to develop greenways and safe places to walk, including those for Saluda School children and recreational walkers.

Rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Silky Terriers

Our mission is to improve the health and quality of life for all people of the greater Pajaro Valley, especially the most disenfranchised. We do this by working “upstream” (before health problems occur or worsen) to help prevent future disease through education and disease prevention, as well as “downstream” (where problems require immediate intervention or treatment) to meet the most acute need for access to quality, culturally responsive services. In all our work, we collaborate with community members and agencies and rely on data to guide our decisions. In this way, we aim to pass on stronger systems and healthier lifestyles to future generations of Pajaro Valley residents.

Founded in the early 1970's, the mission of the Heard-Craig Center is promote and enlighten, to empower and equip women and clubs (e.g. Art Club of McKinney) to be successful, and to advance the public good by the encouragement of the sciences, music, dramatics, and fine arts.

The TSA tests and supports innovative, results-driven approaches that increase self-sufficiency and improve life outcomes for Bulgaria's poor, with a focus on the Roma. To achieve this, we honor and help develop professionalism, collaboration, and integrity in our partners.

Lucy’s Love Bus comforts children suffering from cancer through integrative therapies such as massage, Reiki, meditation, acupuncture, music therapy, and therapeutic horseback riding. These therapies help alleviate the pain, stress, and anxiety caused by illness and are fun and beneficial activities that inspire hope and healing. Our mission is to deliver joy, comfort, and quality of life to children with cancer and their families through free integrative therapies
