Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra (DSES) provides adaptive therapeutic recreation programs in California’s majestic Eastern Sierra. Founded in 2003, Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra (DSES) is dedicated to changing the lives of children and adults with disabilities by offering year-round sports and activities, creating inspiring challenges, providing expert instruction using the latest adaptive equipment, and rallying the community to embrace and accommodate people with disabilities. We believe the freedom and exhilaration of outdoor challenges inspires hope, expands confidence, and transforms lives. No one should be left behind simply because of a disability

Oregon Adaptive Sports provides life-changing outdoor experiences for individuals with disabilities.

DIGA’s primary goals are: • To encourage people with significant disabilities to seek the enjoyment and health benefits available through gardening; • To provide an opportunity for integrating disabled gardeners with their able-bodied counterparts, creating a gardening community that is blind to physical barriers; • To provide disabled gardeners with volunteer engineering services for the adaptation and customization of gardening tools, making the activity accessible to all. DIGA supports these goals through: • Seasonal workshops held at local gardens, featuring expert speakers and educational programs, all complemented by online and print material; • Delivery of community-based, in-home volunteer services to disabled gardeners; • Partnering with the Tetra Society of North America to benefit from their volunteers’ skill and experience – allowing for the highest quality of adapted tools for our members.

To enhace the live and enrich the education of children with disabilitites by sponsoring specially trained assistance dogs to enhance independance at home and at school

VAD is a non-profit, 501c organization that assists individuals with muscular dystrophy with cost of mobility equipment, home modifications, and more. Our primary mission is to provide an adult summer camp program. Members of VAD are all volunteers. There are no paid members or officers. Members are involved because they care!

The American Cancer Society’s mission is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support , to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive cancer.
