B. Wright Leadership Academy Inc.’s mission is to provide a Private K-12 school that will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children by fostering an engaging and educational atmosphere which will promote each child's unique social, emotional, physical, technology, and cognitive development with a strong emphasis on arts and technology.

The B Sharp Youth Music Program, based in the heart of Como, is a free music education program based in Fort Worth. It is the only El Sistema-inspired music program in North Texas. El Sistema-inspired programs are unique to the community and culture of its participants and are a vehicle for social change and betterment through the teaching of music.

Founded in 1990 by artist/writer/director ahdri zhina mandiela, the company came into the Toronto theatre spotlight in the summer of 1991 with her "dark diaspora..." in dub at the Toronto Fringe Festival. Incorporated in 1995 and registered as a charity in 2006, b current continues to amass an eclectic group of artists, and ignited the trend of embedding spoken word/movement, sound and visual amalgam which is now commonplace in theatre. b current educate and increase the public's understanding and appreciation of the arts by performing in public spaces, seniors' homes, churches, community centres and educational institutions and provides seminars on topics relating to such performances; provide instructional seminars related to the performing and visual arts; produce performing arts festivals for the educating and advancing of the public's understanding and appreciation of performing arts; and to educate artists through participation in such festivals and related workshops.

“Transform families by providing help, hope, and healing for mothers and their children to live responsible drug-free lives.” Created from the vision of a small group of women in the Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale in 1995, The Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center has grown from one group home, housing five mothers and six children, to a beautiful 5.5 acre campus in Pembroke Pines with the capacity to serve over sixty families. In addition, through satellite campuses, we are increasing our capacity to serve many more. Our ultimate goals are the removal of barriers for women entering addiction treatment, the prevention of foster care placement for their children, and an end to the cycle of addiction and abuse for families. Since we began in 1995, Susan B. Anthony Recovery Center has helped to reunify over 850 families and has provided the intensive services necessary to stop the cycle of family dysfunction and substance addiction for over 1500 children. One of the largest barriers to entry for mothers seeking treatment is child placement. At the center we focus on supporting both the mother and child(ren). We reduce or eliminate family risk factors by promoting a positive sense of self, delivering individual and group counseling services, providing peer group activities, maintaining well defined structure and offering many opportunities for support. Most importantly, we strive to stop the cycle of addiction by providing the most important protective factor of all, a healthy parent intervening on behalf of the child(ren) during their early development. For nearly 20 years we have done amazing work. Yet, prescription pain killers and heroin use is on the rise, despite the efforts of many. The negative effects to our community are compounded when the addict is a mother and her children are at risk of neglect and abuse. Often, children who are prenatally exposed to drugs or alcohol are also at a high risk for emotional and behavioral challenges. Without intervention, these children are much more likely to become addicts themselves, some in their early teens.

The mission of PB&J Family Services, Inc., is to help at-risk children to grow and develop to their full potential in nurturing families within a supportive community.

B.A.R.E. TRUTH Inc is an organization that provides mentorship, independent living assistance and wellness services to impoverished individuals and families, helping them attain healthy, purpose-driven lives, ultimately changing the economic and living conditions of communities.

The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is a non-profit provincial organization dedicated to helping people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, to supporting caregivers, to promoting public awareness, and to funding research into finding the cause and the cure. We help people: By funding medical research to find the cause of this disease, and then the cure; Through our support groups for people diagnosed with Alzheimer's and related dementias, and our support groups for caregivers/family members; By providing information and materials about the disease to families, and the general public; By offering additional resources through our lending libraries; By holding public education programs such as information forums, research updates, and advocacy workshops; By creating public awareness and understanding of the disease, and the existence of the Society; and through our Web site located at http://www.alzheimerbc.org. The mission Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research is to encourage the development of more effective therapies for patients with Leukemia, Lymphoma, and related cancers.  We fund the best and brightest early career scientists who are searching for better treatments, preventions and cures for blood cancers. Gabrielle's Angel Foundation was created in memory of Gabrielle Rich who died at the age of 27 from leukemia. It was her wish and vision to create a foundation so that others would not suffer as she did.
