The Birthday Party Project brings joy to homeless children through the magic of birthdays!

Founded in 1982 and a certified member of Feeding America, The Houston Food Bank's mission is to provide food for better lives. In the last fiscal year, which includes COVID-19 response, we provided access to 159 million nutritious meals in 18 counties in southeast Texas through our 1,600 community partners of food pantries, soup kitchens, social service providers and schools. Filling gaps on plates, we have a strong focus on healthy foods and fresh produce. In collaboration with our community, we advocate for policy change and racial equity, and promote dialogue on ways to increase access to food and to improve the lives of those in our communities, including services and connections to programs that address the root causes of hunger and are aimed at helping families achieve long-term stability: nutrition education, job training, health management, and help with securing state-funded assistance.

The Art of Elysium is a Los Angeles based non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, founded in 1997, that encourages artists to dedicate their time and talent to under-served, at risk, and hospitalized children whose lives are constantly disrupted by hardship or chronic and often terminal illness. Every week we bring hands on workshops, led by local artists, free of charge to these children.

The goal of Water the Seeds Foundation is to help children from no-income families reach their full potential by giving them the opportunity to pursue their education with the help of positive role models. We want to provide inspiration through our team and to show young children that education is especially important in accomplishing their life goals. We hope to improve each child’s life by keeping them involved in school, supporting their interests, and encouraging their talents.

To educate and empower children about the power of our daily choices and the huge impact these choices have on the health and wellbeing of both ourselves, and our planet. We create innovative education, partnerships, and community programming aimed at inspiring a generation of leaders empowered to Heal The Planet.

By sharing their personal and powerful stories, they have encouraged diverse audiences—from college students and faculty and legal professionals to community and family organizations—to become more educated on ways to keep their loved ones safe and to empower themselves to become catalysts for social change."

The Dream Builders Project is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in Los Angeles, California in October 2013. Since its beginning, The Dream Builders Project has had one goal in mind: to make a positive difference on the community and the world at large. As a “charity for charities,” The Dream Builders Project is not bound to any particular group or cause. This allows the DBP to join forces with many great and sometimes overlooked charities and nonprofits to make the most profound impact. Some of the main causes The DBP focuses on include homelessness, child abuse and neglect, education, fighting human trafficking, and improving living standards in orphanages across the world. The DBP is dedicated to making the biggest impact per dollar. By doing extensive research and having a vetting system in place, the DBP is able to ensure that all donations and volunteer efforts are spent in the most impactful and productive way possible. The Porter Gate provides emergency assistance to persons in crisis situations by offering emergency shelter, meals and groceries, clothing, rental and utility assistance, motel assistance, documentation services, transportation, and advocacy and support. We open the door for all who knock at the gate.

The First Open Heart Society Of British Columbia is an independent registered charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the support of open heart surgery patients and their families. The society is not affiliated with, or supported by, any other heart organization. The 500 member society is comprised of patients who have under-gone open heart surgery, their spouses and other immediate family members, as well as doctors, nurses and other medical staff involved with the open heart surgery program. The society was formed in 1973 on the initiative of cardiologists and early heart surgery patients to function as a support group for patients awaiting and recovering from heart surgery, and their families. Pre-op and post-op trauma for heart patients about to undergo surgery and their families is eased by talking to those who have also "walked the path".
