The Mission of the ELLE FOUNDATION INC is to Create Memories of Joy for Children with Cancer & to grant final wishes for children battling a recurrence or secondary cancer.The ELLE Foundation is the last wish and vision of Lauren Elle Richmond. Lauren faced many recurrences in her 5 year battle against a brain stem tumor. Lauren Elle knew how physically & emotionally devastating recurrences could be. Lauren Elle considered the ELLE Foundation as the reason for her journey.ELLE is a 100% volunteer nonprofit run by Dean, Laurie, Dana Richmond, Lauren's mom, dad & older sister.

The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation, affectionately known as SickKids Foundation, is the largest non-governmental granting agency in child health in Canada. Established in 1972, SickKids Foundation has granted over $300 million to The Hospital for Sick Children and over $60 million to researchers across the country. Through its National Grants Program, SickKids Foundation is the only granting program with a national, multi-year initiative to study two understudied but important areas of child health: the role of complementary and alternative health care and child health, and to study home care and children and youth. We have invested our community’s contributions in outstanding patient care, research and education.
