BEDFORD UNITED CHURCH

Bedford United is a non-dogmatic church. We believe in God, that God was revealed to the world in Jesus, and that God's Presence is active in all of creation through the Spirit. However, we do not require everyone to think and believe in exactly the same way. We experience the joy and the freedom that derives from the Spirit of God, the same Spirit revealed in Jesus. We appreciate and welcome diversity of thought and lifestyle within the context of our core beliefs and values. Indeed, it is this diversity that contributes to the richness of our shared life. Like the larger United Church of Canada, we possess a strong commitment to social justice, global peace and equality. But we are also passionate about spiritual growth in our individual and collective lives. We consider social justice and spirituality to be simply two sides of the one ministry of Jesus. In our Sunday worship life, we joyfully lift up both these dimensions of our ministry and faith.

EPWORTH UNITED CHURCH

Our church, located in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada, has a long history, with roots dating back to 1817 when a small log Methodist chapel was built in the Kingsville area. Property for the church at its current location was purchased in 1891 and construction completed in 1893. In honour of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, the new church was called Epworth Methodist Church, after his birthplace of Epworth Rectory in England. After the union of the Methodists, Presbyterians and Congregationalists in 1925, the name became Epworth United Church. A devastating fire in 1935 destroyed a large portion of the old church. The current structure is the result of a rebuilding effort that began the same year and completed in 1936.

GRACE UNITED CHURCH,

We are a multi-generational group of individuals who together seek to support and encourage one another in our Christian faith. We want to share God's love and compassion with all who enter our doors - and with those who are far from our doors - helping them to connect with the presence that is within and beyond so that together we can experience each day to the fullest.
