THE SAVARY ISLAND LAND TRUST SOCIETY

When the Savary Island Land Trust Society (SILT) began in 1997, there was no protected land on Savary Island. Today there are over 200 arces protected by the Nature Trust of BC, the Province of BC, and the Savary Island Land Trust Society. The SILT owns and stewards 17 parcels on Savary Island (over 16 acres).

ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE ASSOCIATION TRUST

(1) The Air Force Association of Canada, formerly the Royal Canadian Air Force Association was established in 1948 as the national advocacy group to support and promote the Royal Canadian Air Force and to unite Air Force veterans of the Second World War. (2) The Royal Canadian Air Force Association Trust was established in 1975 under the authority of Association By-Law 7(g)(iii) after endorsement, as a Silver Anniversary project at the 1973 Annual General Meeting of the Association (NEC 52-13). (3) The Trust is a subsidiary of the Air Force Association of Canada, created in accordance with the Trust Agreement, included at Annex A, responsible for raising and distributing funds at the National level for the Association charitable and heritage programs. (4) The Trust is a registered charitable organization.

LAND TRUST ALLIANCE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

WE are the Land Trust Alliance of British Columbia (LTABC) representing 29 land trust members across the province. Associate members (consultants, environmental groups and individuals) bring our total membership to one hundred. Since 1997 when LTABC was established, we have developed educational, research and resource programs that have helped conservation groups steward, protect and restore BC's natural and cultural diversity. The property is privately owned and governed by The Mount Hope Trust in Bristol and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to preserve and protect the integrity of its natural assets and its historical structures.

The Farmlands Trust (Greater Victoria) Society

The Farmlands Trust Society was established in March 2008 to enhance the farming capability of Mt. Newton Valley, rehabilitate the stream ecology of Hagan Creek and create a community trail system. In the summer of 2009, the members began expanding the geographic, and social scope of the organization to cover all the peoples and lands of Greater Victoria. As a professional organization, the members declared the next phase of its mandate would emphasize collaboration, farmland management and outreach to meet the community's requirements among the socially disadvantaged/marginalized individuals in our society. Charitable Status was granted in June 2011 by Canada Revenue Agency.

Moms 4 Housing Community Land Trust

OakCLT’s mission is to expand and preserve housing and economic development opportunities for Black, Latinx, Asian, other communities of color, and low-income residents of Oakland. In practice, we acquire housing, land, and other critical community-serving real estate and steward them in trust to ensure that they remain affordable forever. We create innovative shared-equity ownership structures that balance the needs of individuals and families to build wealth with the long-term goal of permanently preserving affordability. We foster leadership and build community power through an engaged board of OakCLT residents and community members to enact a vision of resident-powered development on community-owned land.

NANAIMO AND AREA LAND TRUST SOCIETY

Nanaimo & Area Land Trust (NALT) is an organization that exists to protect land. It has the authority to set up conservation covenants, and to designate and monitor land use agreements in perpetuity. NALT also raises funds to purchase valuable green space transforming private lands into public parks, and carry out stewardship projects that preserve and enhance the natural values of land. NALT works with indivuduals who identify a need to protect public or private land; community agencies who want to help protect public or private land; City of Nanaimo & Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) Staff; City Council and the RDN Board; schools and community groups; other conservation groups; gardeners who want to learn about more sustainable gardening options; investment advisors & estate planners - pretty much anyone who contacts NALT with concerns about land.

South Florida National Parks Trust Inc.

The Alliance for Florida's National Parks develops and funds projects that promote, preserve and enhance South Florida’s national parks in ways that enrich the experience of park visitors, connect diverse communities to these unique resources, and build a legacy of park stewardship. As the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service in South Florida, The Alliance raises money from individuals, businesses, and foundations to support park programs and projects in five critical areas: Environmental Education - Exploration - Preservation - Restoration - Community Engagement
