The Nidus Personal Planning Resource Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization. Nidus provides • Public legal education on personal planning and related matters such as health care consent, living wills and advance directives • Problem-solving and coaching in support of best practices for attorneys, representatives, and monitors • Training for volunteers and organizations • Policy consultation for third parties Nidus also operates a centralized Registry for personal planning documents in partnership with Juricert Inc. of the Law Society of British Columbia. Nidus is currently the only community-based resource in Canada devoted to personal planning. Its existence sets British Columbia apart as a leader in addressing the critical needs of an aging population and in facilitating Representation Agreements as a legal model for supported decision making which inspired Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (2008).

The Recycling and Environmental Action Planning Society (REAPS) was established in October of 1989 with the mandate of fostering environmental stewardship in the Regional District of Fraser Fort George. Our main focus is on waste reduction, in which we are assisting the Regional District towards its goal in reducing the amount of waste going into the Prince George landfill by 50% plus. REAPS offers various forms of community outreach and public awareness, including programs in the schools, garden workshops, and other educational initiatives, where people can learn about composting, recycling, vermicomposting, organic gardening and many other environmental issues.

Your annual membership and donation dollars help ensure that our organization is able to provide services (such as the BC Transit Ticket Assistance Program), resources, (such as the Living Wage and Affordability Index), and leadership (such as our work in food security) that we have brought to this community for many years. You can also choose to direct your donation toward the development of our new Community Investment Fund for affordable housing and community enterprise in the Capital Region. Your financial contributions support new ways of working together to create a vibrant and sustainable community and to support new initiatives to tackle the many challenges to the quality of life for people in the region. As one of the oldest and fastest growing affiliates in the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, our mission is to provide broad public access to family planning and reproductive health care through (1) timely, affordable, and non-judgmental medical services; (2) medically accurate and comprehensive sex and relationship education; and (3) local, state, and federal advocacy that supports these services. Every year, through our four safety-net health centers, we see over 65,000 patient visits. Across the 24-community San Gabriel Valley, we are the most sought-after provider of family planning and reproductive health care, particularly for the uninsured.
