The core mission of the Gampopa Center is to present the teachings of Buddhism to the West; to preserve and bring to the Annapolis area the Karma Kagyu lineage and its oral tradition of teachings, empowerments and training. The Gampopa Center endeavors to promote and uphold the principles of compassion, self-discipline and altruism. While complementing existing religious and cultural traditions, the Gampopa Center aims to enrich society as a whole as well as to serve those who have chosen to follow the path of the Buddha.
