THE FAMOUS 5 FOUNDATION

The Famous 5 Foundation (F5F) is a registered non-profit charitable organization established in 1996 to ensure that the many accomplishments of those 5 women would live on in Canadian history. That model of their passionate commitment to building a more just and equitable community would be passed on to a new generation of leaders – a new generation which would recognize its own ability to rise to the challenge of leadership both in the community and in the world of business and government!

The Miles Hall Foundation

The Mission of The Miles Hall Foundation is support families by educating communities about mental illness and protect those impacted with mental illness from excessive use of force by law enforcement. We do this life-saving work to honor the life and legacy of Miles Hall, who was killed by the Walnut Creek police in June of 2019 during a mental health crisis. Our work falls into three categories, prevention, education, and advocacy.

The Sacred Fire Foundation

The Sacred Fire Foundation is dedicated to preserving and promoting the perspective and benefits of ancient wisdom from around the world. Through our successful educational initiatives and grant programs, we support the source of this traditional knowledge and make it accessible to everyone. In turn, we have garnered the respect and support of elders of many traditions and the broader modern culture we live in. This has been made possible by the generosity of our donors and thousands of hours of volunteer effort.

The Unicorn Childrens Foundation

Unicorn Children's Foundation is dedicated to creating cradle to career pathways for kids and young adults with developmental or learning challenges and helping their families navigate the complex journey. Neurodiversity encompasses a range of neurologically-based disorders such as autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, bipolar, dyslexia, and other learning disorders. We have chosen to view these disorders from a different perspective by seeing each child as uniquely capable and talented with specific strengths and interests that should be cultivated. In essence, every individual, regardless of his/her “disability”, deserves an opportunity to lead a fulfilled and productive life.

The Steelman Family Foundation

We assist families with children 3-18 who are wheelchair bound, purchase wheelchair accessible vehicles. Through the foundation and its board of directors, SFF focuses its activities in the Portland and SW Washington area. Through special events like the annual “Boo Who?” a family focused Halloween event held every October, SFF raises funding to support families touched by various disabilities focusing mostly on Cerebral Palsy and Autism. Transportation, scholarships, respite care, caregiver support activities are just a few of the ways SFF gives back.

The Concordia Foundation Inc.

Concordia (Concordia Hospital, Concordia Place, Concordia Foundation, Concordia Hip & Knee Institute, and Concordia Village) provides faith-based health and wellness services to the surrounding urban and rural community with quality care in a client-centred environment. Today, we continue to carry out our Mission on a daily basis with the support of our employees, volunteers, donors, supporting church congregations and the surrounding community. Concordia continues to expand its services and facilities to meet the demands of its thriving community its services. Operating collaboratively within the framework of The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, Concordia remains true to its origins.

THE TINY LIGHT FOUNDATION

The Tiny Light Foundation provides Free professional photography for children and families that have been faced with a life altering diagnoses. The Toby Keith Foundation

To encourage the health and happiness of pediatric cancer patients by soliciting public support of "OK Kids Korral." This state-of-the-art facility provides temporary housing for families of pediatric cancer patients who must leave their own communities in order to receive medical treatment in the Oklahoma City area. The mission of The Toby Keith Foundation will be met by:1) Providing a cost-free, convenient and comfortable home for any child coming to Oklahoma City to receive their cancer treatments; thus reducing the financial and physical toll put on the family.2) Partnering with other organizations as we look at the patient and their families road to recovery holistically.

The Atlanta Women's Foundation

Our mission at The Atlanta Women’s Foundation is to be a catalyst for change in the lives of women and girls. We raise funds for grantmaking through our collective impact model that amplifies the work of strategic nonprofits serving the metro Atlanta area. In addition to our role as a funder, we serve as an educator and a connector for women and girls in Atlanta. As an educator, we provide leadership and philanthropic training and conduct research into the challenges women and girls face. As a connector, we bring people together through events and experiences designed to empower attendees and champion grant recipients. Since the beginning, we have invested over $27 million in grants and programming in the Atlanta area.

The Berner Garde Foundation

The Berner-Garde Foundation was established to assist in efforts to improve the health of Bernese Mountain Dogs. The BGF is comprised of a voluntary Board of Trustees and other workers. Our efforts are designed to support scientific research into the causes and cures for genetic diseases and general health of our beloved Berners.To support these goals, the BGF:Maintains a computerized database to record information about diseases and general health observed in BMDs. Information in the BGF Database is publicly available online, free of charge to everyone.The BGF, with support from the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America, has established a repository of DNA and tumor tissue from BMDs. BGF supports research studies aimed at reducing the health problems found in Bernese Mountain Dogs

THE GEORGETOWN HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

Led by our dedicated volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation will strive to help ensure the best healthcare for the people of Halton Hills. Our success in raising funds for the Hospital will be based on trust built through accountability, cost-effective programs, and a donor-centred approach to fundraising, recognition and stewardship. Our volunteers and staff demonstrate caring, empathy and compassion with a view to providing personal service and establishing long-term relationships with members of the community. We use your gifts to fund medical equipment our patients need that is not funded by the Ministry of Health. Your generosity helps us buy things such as surgical instruments, equipment for the ER, and important items required by our Obstetrics Department.

THE YELLOW BUS FOUNDATION

We support organizations with a budget generally under $2 million and focus on grassroots charities that take a hands-on approach to their work. Donations to YBF result in many types of assistance, from helping grant wishes, or providing vital medical equipment for children with life-threatening illnesses, to fostering the emotional wellbeing of children facing tough socio-economic situations.
