DRA's mission is to advance equal rights and opportunity for people with all types of disabilities nationwide. DRA was established in 1993 and has grown to become one of the leading non-profit organizations that advances the rights of individuals with disabilities through impact litigation. DRA is renowned for implementing systemic change in critical areas that affect the daily lives of people with disabilities--health care, transportation, housing, education and employment. DRA fulfills its mission through free legal representation, education and outreach to our constituency. Using structured negotiations, high-impact, class-action litigation, community education and collaboration, regulatory advocacy, and media, DRA helps exert pressure for reform, while simultaneously offering constructive remedies for compliance with law.
