American Short Fiction, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that supports, produces, and publishes the magazine American Short Fiction, founded in 1991. Our purpose, in publishing the magazine, is to promote the literary arts by providing a venue for outstanding writing by both emerging and established authors; organizing writing contests to recognize and reward such authors; promoting new fiction on our website; and offering writing classes, readings, and other literary events for the enrichment of our community.

SAAF Mission Statement: Our purpose is to promote the betterment of the lives African Americans. We fulfill our mission by offering workshops, programs and outreach campaigns. Saving African American Families is committed to calling our culture back to blending our faith into our family life, marriage, health as well as everyday living. American Friends of PSE is dedicated to promoting the education of the most impoverished children in Cambodia. As a US tax-exempt organization we invest in proven, holistic and sustainable programs ranging from nutrition, education, health care, protection to vocational training. These programs have been developed by “Pour un Sourire d’Enfant” over 25 years in Cambodia, and have been recognized for their excellence by the international community and the Cambodian government. American Friends of PSE is an advocate for the poorest of the poor in Cambodia.
