SCA International's vision to expand the reach and impact of our ministry cannot be accomplished without, first and foremost, God's direction, using His people in the process. We have nine Field Missionaries who work in British Columbia and Ontario. These missionaries minister to Canada's isolated people in various and creative ways. Whether traditional or more advanced in their methods, they seek to be "all things to all men" with appropriate approach for the audience they are trying to reach for Christ. We also have four Ministry Centres - British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario. These Centres minister to the needs of families and individuals through summer camps, after school programs in the surrounding communities, counselling, family sessions, and retreats.
Outreach International is a global nonprofit that supports local leaders and community-led groups who develop lasting solutions to poverty-related issues.Together with local leaders, we empower communities to organize, prioritize and mobilize to identify their needs, and then access the resources necessary to overcome challenges and reach their goals. Along the way, communities gain the experience of working together toward a shared objective, as well as the confidence that comes from achieving success through collaboration. Our mission is to confront the injustice of chronic poverty through community-led action. Facilitating the fundamentals of participatory development ensures that those most affected by poverty-related issues become those best equipped to permanently resolve them.
GeoHazards International works to reduce loss of life and suffering around the world in communities most at risk from earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides and floods. Our vision is a world of self-reliant communities - rural and urban - that can continue their economic, political and cultural development unimpeded by natural disasters. GHI helps communities avert disaster by creating safer buildings, assessing geophysical hazards, helping governments affordably prepare, and educating residents about what to do in the face of high risk. GHI bridges the gap between scientific experts and the people in developing countries who want to take action. In each case we work with communities toward locally appropriate and lasting solutions.

Operating in many of the mostdifficult to access, complex, and hostile environments in the world, SI responds to humanitarian crises as a result of conflicts, violence, natural hazards, infectious disease outbreaks, and poverty. SI strives to save lives and change lives, responding to emergencies, strengthening resilience to risks and threats, and creating opportunities to pursue their life prospects, by delivering evidence-based dynamic programmes that provide relevant, effective, efficient and timely humanitarian assistance to vulnerable and marginalised people, and people who have been severely affected by crises. We work in 23 countries across the globe providing access to safe water, sanitation services and facilities, hygiene and shelter assistance, and food security, livelihoods, protection, and cash-based support for over 4.6 million people.
CORE International focuses on developing partnerships and programs to address the self-identified needs of excluded people. We also work to build ‘bridges’ between groups of people, organizations, and individuals who are able to provide services and support. CORE has identified seven priorities for our development focus including: • Gender and Social Inclusion • Literacy, Education, and Participatory Learning and Action • Sustainable use of resources to improve the livelihoods of the poor • Primary Health Care • Micro-enterprise projects • Appropriate alternative technology and innovations • Indigenous Knowledge. Although many of these priorities are linked, in our first year of operation we are focusing on literacy projects, which include addressing the issue of gender and social inclusion. We have prioritized working in Nepal or India for the immediate future, though we intend to expand to other countries as our organization gains experience and resources.
International Alert works with people directly affected by conflict to build lasting peace. Together, peace is within our power. We focus on solving the root causes of conflict with people from across divides. From the grassroots to policy level, we all come together to build everyday peace, from the ground up. Peace is just as much about communities living together, side by side, and resolving their differences without resorting to violence as it is about people signing a treaty or laying down their arms. Peace is when you can walk your children to school in safety, feed your family or make a living, no matter who you are. That is why we bring people together to inspire and amplify our voice for peace. In collaboration with local communities, partners, businesses and policy-makers, we turn our in-depth research and analysis into practical solutions that make a difference on the ground.
Stoneworks helps others do what God is calling them to do, and Stoneworks values relationships over projects. 1 Peter 2:5 tells us that God sets us together as living stones. We look to see the relationships that He is establishing, and our various projects arise as we honor those relationships. Through the relationships that God has given us, we partner with local believers in Russia, Norway, Belarus, Ukraine, Estonia, Montenegro, Moldova and Romania. Our early focus was on helping orphans in various ways. While that work continues, we also participate in various ministries: to children with disabilities, men's ministry, youth ministry, Roma/gypsy churches, and more.
Our mission is to provide technical, financial and intellectual support, assistance, and training to projects and organizations focused on bringing sustainable energy technologies to communities across the developing world. Critically, access to an affordable, distributed, renewable form of energy generation can improve productivity and quality of life in rural villages, clinics, schools, and organizations without increasing their carbon footprints. We are focused on the development of a solar technology that can be locally customized, manufactured, and distributed to local economies and provide local jobs while extending energy access beyond the traditional electricity grid.
The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
Sightsavers' vision is of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes, and where vision impaired people participate equally in society. Sightsavers' mission is to eliminate avoidable blindness, and make sure those whose sight can't be restored receive the support they need to live independently by providing education, support and training. We work with local partners in more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia and Caribbean.
