Deepwood Animal Rescue Fund

Deepwood Veterinary Clinic practices quality medicine and offers “one stop shopping” for all of your pet’s needs. However, Deepwood never forgets that there are many abandoned and homeless animals in our region that may need extra care while they wait for their forever homes. With that in mind, Deepwood Veterinary Clinic strives to give back to the community by working closely with several local rescue organizations. Some of these include Oldies But Goodies Cocker Spaniel Rescue and Collie Rescue. Deepwood Veterinary Clinic also works with many local animal shelters. For more than fifteen years, Deepwood Veterinary Clinic has served as the primary veterinarian for Fairfax County Animal Shelter. So that they may help sick, homeless, and abandoned animals that otherwise might not have a chance, Deepwood Veterinary Clinic founded its own nonprofit charity known as Deepwood Animal Rescue Fund to help offset the medical costs of many of these animals and give them a second chance. Their annual Fall Festival is Deepwood’s primary fundraising event. The more money that is raised, the more animals in Fairfax County they will be able to help.

Stories From Tomorrow Fund

Stories From Tomorrow is a unique, interactive social media fundraising initiative supporting children around the world by empowering and uplifting their voices to a global platform. Our mission is to activate self-expression and hear the voices of young people for the sake of their well-being (and ours), and amplify their voices as loudly as we can. No matter the state of the world - pandemic, global demonstrations, crippling poverty - children benefit from self-expression and feeling heard. It is healing to write, exciting to share and transformative to be heard. Everyone needs a creative outlet, especially in stressful times. We hope to offer children and youth a platform for expressing themselves through storytelling - and to share their messages with the world. In partnership with Pledgeling, the campaign will raise funds to support Feeding America’s child hunger programs and Room to Read’s literacy and girls’ education programs, helping to ensure that the world’s most vulnerable children have access to essentials. Every donation will be split evenly between Feeding America and Room to Read. CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: We are inviting children and youth (ages 5-18) to write an original story or poem for the chance to have it read on Instagram (@storiesfromtomorrow) by admired individuals from all walks of life. Some faces you will recognize and some you will not, but all care deeply about the voices of children. Sharing their own writing and having it performed by admired public figures lets kids know that their lives are important, their voices matter, and we all care about them - no matter where they are. All stories should be submitted by email to: storiesfromtomorrow@gmail.com Our tomorrow is being written in the imaginations of our children today. Help us invest in a brighter, healthier and happier tomorrow. Visit @storiesfromtomorrow and follow #storiesfromtomorrow on Instagram to see childrens' original stories read by performers.

J Street Education Fund

J Street represents Americans, primarily but not exclusively Jewish, who support Israel and believe resolving the conflicts with its neighbors diplomatically is essential to securing its future as a democratic and Jewish homeland.  We support the right of the Palestinians to a sovereign state of their own and believe that the only sustainable answer to the conflict – and the only way to achieve long-term security for Israel – is to realize a future where both peoples are able to live side-by-side in peace and security. This goal is in the best interest of Israel, the United States, the Palestinians and the region as a whole.
