Society Of St. Vincent De Paul Diocesan Council Of Dallas

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a faith-based volunteer organization that offers direct aid to those in need across nine counties in North Texas. The Society provides short-term financial, material and emotional support. People are empowered to reach the goal of self-sufficiency through advocacy, education and referrals. Inspired by Gospel values, members grow spiritually through person-to-person service to all in need. Through systemic change, the Society promotes dignity, alleviates suffering and distress, and addresses the conditions that cause the person to need assistance.

NATIONAL CAPITAL SPORTS COUNCIL OF THE DISABLED INC/LE CONSE

We provide assistance, funding and administrative support to 15 local sports clubs for the physically disabled. We promote the development of new sporting activities and training for youths and adults with disabilities to encourage their development and personal growth.

As Vincentians we understand that poverty does not necessarily involve being in need of material goods. The Society’s main service throughout the world is home visits to the poor. The Society in Canada There are Society Conferences in all provinces and the N.W. Territories and the Nunavut in Canada. These Conferences can be found in parishes, schools, colleges, universities and workplaces.

Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is dedicated to helping those less fortunate. SSVP helps people replace a sense of despair with a sense of dignity. - emergency food assistance - personal contact with hose we serve - visits to "shut-ins" and the sick - visits and friendship to the incarcerated - summer camp sponsorship for needy children - vouchers for clothing and household goods in our resale stores - aid to victims of natural disasters - prayers for the poor, the outcast, the marginalized - serving everyone, regardless of race, creed, gender, opinion or age Since its inception in 1896, SSVP Windsor Essex has provided assistance to hundreds of thousands of our neighbours and friends. We continue to follow the example of our founders by working with humility and respect as we serve the poor, bearing witness to the love of God for all people.

JUNIOR COUNCIL

Junior Council's mission is to support the clinic and ensure all children with HIV/AIDS, regardless of their ability to pay, have access to high-quality pediatric healthcare. To date, Junior Council has donated over 2 million dollars to the Division of Infectious Disease at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
