Oceana, the world's largest international organization focused exclusively on ocean conservation, was founded in 2001 by a group of leading foundations concerned that although the oceans constitute over 70 percent of the earth's surface, an extremely small percentage of environmental funding was dedicated to protecting them.  Oceana's campaigns are designed to change that by forcing clear, identifiable policy changes with real "in the water" results, usually in three to five years. Our international campaigns in North America, Europe, Chile, and Belize are focused on the actions agreed on by scientists throughout the world as necessary to preserve and restore marine life: Protect seafloor habitat from destructive bottom trawling; Set and enforce reasonable catch limits for commercial fishing; Stop subsidizing overcapacity in commercial fishing fleets; Stop marine pollution, particularly carbon dioxide emissions that are making the oceans more acidic; Oceana sets annual goals toward achieving specific changes and holds itself strictly accountable to its Board, funders, and supporters.  Since inception, Oceana has achieved dramatic success in protecting the world's oceans in targeted, practical ways.

Environmental Health Coalition is dedicated to achieving environmental and social justice. They believe that justice is accomplished by empowered communities acting together to make social change. They organize and advocate to protect public health and the environment threatened by toxic pollution. EHC supports broad efforts that create a just society and fosters a healthy and sustainable quality of life.

The mission of the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC) is to elevate and empower individuals affected by obesity through education, advocacy and support.

The Community Garden Coalition (CGC) of Columbia and Boone County, Missouri is a not-for-profit volunteer group that provides support, supplies, and garden plots to community gardeners, seeking especially to help lower-income individuals, the elderly, people with disabilities, children, and others who might not be able to have a garden on their own.

THE COALITION IS A PARTNERSHIP OF INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TOGETHER TO (1) PROVIDE AN OVERVIEW OF THE CURRENT STATUS OF CANCER CONTROL IN ARKANSAS, (2) REDUCE THE OVERALL BURDEN OF CANCER BY PROVIDING AND MAINTAINING A PLAN OF GOALS AND STRATEGIES, AND (3) IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THOSE PERSONALLY AFFECTED BY CANCER BY STRENGTHENING AND SUSTAINING THE CANCEL CONTROL PARTNERSHIP SUPPORT NETWORK.

The Black Rock Coalition was founded in 1985 by guitarist Vernon Reid, journalist Greg Tate and producer Konda Mason in reaction to the constrictions that the commercial music industry places on Black artists. A collective of artists, writers, producers, publicists, activists and music fans assembled to maximize exposure and provide resources for Black artists who defy convention. To date, the BRC is the only national nonprofit organization dedicated to the complete creative freedom of Black artists.
