The Little Sisters of the Poor offer needy elderly persons total quality care in a loving, supportive Home where they are welcomed as family and cared for with dignity and respect until death. Believing that to accompany the elderly on their final journey is the greatest expression of their vow of hospitality, the Little Sisters humbly and prayerfully devote their lives to fulfilling this most sacred aspect of theLord's mission of salvation.

We, Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth (CSFN), are an international Roman Catholic congregation of vowed religious women dedicated to spreading the Kingdom of God’s love, particularly within families. We do this by serving families through active ministry in schools, hospitals, parishes, prisons and social service agencies. We also spread the Kingdom through our daily living in a community of prayer and commitment to God and the Holy Family.

Enlivened by the Holy Spirit, we advocate Peace and Justice for the Common Good in light of the Social Mission of the Church. The Sisters of Social Service are women of many cultures. Wanting to fulfill the social mission of the Church, SSS count on the presence of the Spirit of God in engaging with all human beings – ranging from political and legislative systems to caring for the health and well-being of families, on every level of society to bring justice into the lives of all. Following the teachings of Jesus in the Gospel, the SSS engage with and on behalf of those who are alienated, struggling, or living in poverty. The rights of all peoples to live in dignity, free from violence, racism, sexism and coercion of every kind is at the heart of our work and of our justice commitment.

Our mission flows from the purpose for which the congregation exists: We live and work that all people may be united with God and with one another. It is rooted in the mission of Christ, the same mission which continually unfolds in His church, “That all may be one as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; I pray that they may be one in Us.” (John 17:21) Responding to the unmet needs in our church and world, we serve in education, healthcare, pastoral and parish ministry, social work, spiritual care and faith development, and in other ministries that respond to spiritual, social and physical needs.

Teach For America exists to address the problem of the opportunity gap; our mission is to build the movement to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders in the effort. In the immediate term, we serve as a critical source of talented and committed teachers, called corps members, who compensate for the additional challenges their students face to provide them with the educational opportunities they deserve. Our corps members' positive impact on students' academic achievement provides tangible evidence that it is possible for all students to succeed when they get the right support. At the same time, helping their students succeed intensifies corps members' sense of urgency and gives them a deep grounding in what it will take to ensure that all students in our nation have the opportunity to attain an excellent education. Over the long run, we produce an alumni force with the talent, conviction, insight, and experience to effect the fundamental changes necessary to realize our vision of educational opportunity for all. Our alumni work directly for change at every level of our education system, while also exerting pressure for positive change from outside the system:* continuing to serve as teachers, school principals, and district administrators* taking the pressure off schools by working to remediate the challenges of poverty by working in careers supporting economic development, public health, social services, and law* pioneering innovations in public service as social entrepreneurs* shaping our priorities and policies as advocates, policy advisers, elected officials, and influencers in other sectors.
