Snowdays Foundation

SNOW DAYS FOUNDATION IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO YOUTH EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SNOWBOARDING. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO TEACH SNOWBOARDING TO SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN IN PORTLAND, OREGON. STUDENTS COME FROM MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS IN CHALLENGING NEIGHBORHOODS, WITH THE LOWEST ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS, THE HIGHEST POVERTY RATES, AND THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF SINGLE PARENT HOUSEHOLDS.

ST.AMANT FOUNDATION

St.Amant believes that everyone has the right to develop to the best of their abilities. St.Amant is a comprehensive resource for children and adults with developmental disabilities in Manitoba. A non-profit corporation, St.Amant offers a range of programming, services and care to support disabled individuals and their families. Services include a main residence (River Road Place), more than 70 community sites and homes, a research centre, a school and a daycare. St.Amant also offers effective programming for children with autism and for families who care for an individual at home. Each year, St.Amant improves the quality of life for 1,500 individuals and their families. The St.Amant Foundation is a registered charity that raises money to improve the lives of Manitobans with developmental disabilities or autism and their families. Since its formation in 1989, the Foundation has contributed millions of dollars to improve programming and facilities operated by St.Amant.

Bayat Foundation

The Bayat Foundation firmly believes that the poverty, civil unrest, war, joblessness and poor healthcare that has plagued the nation for more than 30 years can be drastically improved.  By building a sense of hope and pride in Afghanistan, the economics and social improvement will quickly follow and will contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan; bringing much needed stability.

Terma Foundation

The Terma Foundation's mission is to ensure that a generation of Tibetan children survive and thrive. Terma gets clinical care, equipment and medicines directly to remote villagers and nomads, saving thousands of lives annually through primary healthcare, screening and treatment for preventable life-threatening diseases, access to essential foods and medicines, and by providing basic health education.

NJB FOUNDation

NJB Foundation achieves its mission by educating the minds of young men, mentoring them into manhood, engaging and challenging their intellect and nurturing their social development. NJB provides college preparatory assistance and scholarships. It also services the community with its annual "Blessings in a Backpack" back-to-school drive and holiday shariing efforts of food, clothing, and toys.

SUNNYSIDE FOUNDATION

The Sunnyside Foundation funds programs, services, research and enhancements which improve the quality of life for those who utilize Sunnyside Seniors' Services long term care, supportive housing, community Alzheimer programs and wellness centre. These enhancements are over and above what the Region of Waterloo and Ministry of Health and Long Term Care are able to provide.

CAREFIRST FOUNDATION

Carefirst Foundation aims to raise $6 million from the community to fund a project development undertaken by Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association in the development of a 49,000 sq ft "One-stop Access Multi-service Centre" which will combine community support and health care services for the easy access to service users in Scarborough by 2013.
