PROVIDE LODGING AND ASSISTANCE FOR VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES WHILE THEIR LOVED ONES RECEIVE INPATIENT CARE AT THE MCGUIRE VETERAN'S HOSPITAL LOCATED IN RICHMOND, VIRGINIA.

Life House Foundation for Children is a non-profit support organization that provides the foundational services necessary to empower multiple faith-based groups and organizations in on-going care and one-time projects for at-risk children and under-supported populations.

Transition House Foundation has a volunteer board and a part-time office manager. Although Cape Breton Transition House is funded through the Department of Community Services for staffing, major repairs and major household expenses etc. Transition House relies on the Foundation for many necessary extras. These include emergency funds - if a woman has to relocate in an emergency then funds may be made available etc.; comfort allowance - a small amount is provided to the women if they have no funds so they can at least go out for a coffee; craft supplies and entertainment; clothes and personal items; household service; furniture for the shelter etc. The Foundation also assists with the public education program in the schools and in the community.

The mission statement for Angel House is very simple: LOVE : The most important right of every child is to receive love and to be accepted as a member of a family. CARE: This includes caring for their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. PROTECTION: Our aim is to protect these children from further exploitation, neglect or abuse.

The overall mission of Blue Hope is to raise funds, resources, social awareness, and provide other support for a variety of self-sustaining social development projects and programs, both domestically and abroad, in order to effectively fight social injustice at a grass roots level. As of its founding, Blue Hope is primarily focusing on working with education, poverty, and children’s issues in Tanzania, East Africa and has done so by constructing and supporting a residential and educational facility and its outreach program. House of Blue Hope pulls kids off the streets and puts them into a safe living and learning environment. With such access to one of the top schools in the country, the current and future residents of the House of Blue Hope will be provided with top-notch educational opportunities in a country in which only about 12% of the population receives a secondary education. Furthermore, the facility has become a large part of the local high school’s community service program, as well as a catalyst to keep alumni involved and connected after graduation.
