The First Open Heart Society Of British Columbia is an independent registered charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the support of open heart surgery patients and their families. The society is not affiliated with, or supported by, any other heart organization. The 500 member society is comprised of patients who have under-gone open heart surgery, their spouses and other immediate family members, as well as doctors, nurses and other medical staff involved with the open heart surgery program. The society was formed in 1973 on the initiative of cardiologists and early heart surgery patients to function as a support group for patients awaiting and recovering from heart surgery, and their families. Pre-op and post-op trauma for heart patients about to undergo surgery and their families is eased by talking to those who have also "walked the path".

We mobilize resources, inspire giving, build knowledge and provide leadership on vital community issues to improve the quality of life for all in Napa County. Napa Valley Community Foundation is many things: A public charity. A grantmaking foundation. A philanthropic advisor. A junction for people, resources and ideas. We commit our resources to these projects, and inspire others to do so, as well. We make giving easy, effective and enduring, and we encourage a network of local donors to get involved. We believe there is strength in numbers that by working together, we can help more people more quickly than any one donor acting alone. We cultivate relationships with other funders to create opportunities for various philanthropic groups to collectively support community projects. We multiply the impact of individual givers, pooling resources for the common good in our Community Impact Funds. We help make Napa County stronger, more vibrant, more livable for all who call it home. We serve as a catalyst for positive change in Napa County. Since 1994, the Community Foundation has served as a bridge between philanthropic families and hard-working nonprofit agencies, bringing people, ideas and resources together to enhance the quality of life in the Napa Valley community. From American Canyon to Calistoga, the Community Foundation has distributed more than $27 million in grants to nearly 800 organizations in the last 15 years, and currently serves as the philanthropic partner to 100 individuals, families, nonprofit agencies and corporations in Napa Valley.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation's focus is increasingly on clinical and translational research, crucial to making strides toward a cure and improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.

The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation helps build character and teach critical life lessons to disadvantaged young people living in America's most distressed communities through baseball and softball themed programs.

ABOUT THE BORIS LAWRENCE HENSON FOUNDATION (BLHF) As the pioneering Black mental health advocacy group in the US, the BLHF provides access to localized and black-culturally competent therapy resources sourced through a network of clinicians, service providers, counselors, and thought leaders. The foundation is named in honor of Boris Lawrence Henson, father of Academy Award and Emmy-nominated actress and founder Taraji P. Henson, who suffered mental health challenges without resources or support. Founded in 2018, within a short time, BLHF has built its reputation on the promise of providing trusted referrals and demonstrating a deep understanding of the population health of communities of color. Through timely and relevant programming and awareness campaigns, it is the hope that mental health will become a known quantity within Black communities, helping the Foundation to achieve a critical mass of Black self-care advocates and allies nationwide. Through a myriad of corporate partnerships, BLHF encourages mental wellness; raises awareness of the stigma and the use of stigmatizing language when referring to mental illness; provides mental health resources and support, offers scholarships to Black students who seek a career in the mental health field; extends mental health services to young people in underserved schools and communities, combats recidivism and supports re-entry for returning citizens. The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation is charting a new course that encourages Black individuals to own their history, heritage, and collective wounds in empowering, empathic, and transformative ways.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) is dedicated to being the end of breast cancer by advancing the world's most promising research. Founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993, BCRF-funded investigators have been deeply involved in every major breakthrough in breast cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. This year, BCRF has awarded $63 million in grants to support the work of nearly 300 scientists at leading medical and academic institutions across 14 countries, making BCRF the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide. In 2007, the Playing for Change Foundation was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. Our mission is to create positive change through music and arts education. 15 music programs have been created in Bangladesh, Brazil, Ghana, Mali, Nepal, Rwanda, South Africa, Morocco, Mexico, Argentina and Thailand. More than 2,000 young people attend free classes in dance, instruments, languages and musical theory, all taught by qualified local teachers. Learning music has been shown to increase self-esteem and foster resilience, which is critically important to children who are vulnerable due to poverty, conflict, drugs, and neglect.

On Course Foundation supports the recovery of wounded, injured and sick Service members and veterans through golf.Our mission is to build confidence and self-belief in our Members through golf skills and employment events, and set them on the path to meaningful employment opportunities in the golf industry.As a sport, golf offers a unique platform where players of all skills and backgrounds can compete healthily, improving not only their physical but mental strength too. Led by dedicated PGA professionals, our nationwide program of golf activities aims to restore self-confidence and provide a sense of purpose to our Members who once struggled to see hope in their future.With many lacking self- belief, it's our aim to help our Members realize their potential and set them on a fulfilling career path in the golf industry.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation's (“TAPF”) mission is to address childhood hunger and malnutrition in India simultaneously and to increase underprivileged children's access to education. TAPF's vision is that no child shall be deprived of education because of hunger. The Sanskrit words “Akshaya Patra,” meaning inexhaustible vessel, aptly reflects the organization's aspirations to provide unlimited food to underprivileged children and mitigate their sufferings. The organization's long-term goal is to replicate this model throughout India and the world. Our partnership with the Government of India and various State Governments, along with the persistent support from corporates, individual donors, and well-wishers have helped us to grow from serving just 1,500 children in 5 schools in 2000 to serving 2 million children. Today, Akshaya Patra is the world’s largest (not-for-profit run) Mid-Day Meal Program serving wholesome food every school day to over 2 million children from 22,000 schools across 14 states & 2 Union territory of India.
