Save Our Songbirds conducts principal research on migratory songbirds with a particular focus on birds migrating through Thunder Bay, Ontario. We are in the process of establishing a migration monitoring & bird banding station on McKellar Island. Here we plan to track the numbers of birds migrating through this area spring and fall through banding and counting birds. In this location, so close to the city, we will have many opportunities to interact with the public, to educate and engage. We need your help supporting the biologists in their work. The main objective of the organization is to promote awareness regarding the issue of farmer suicides, help the families of the victims and fund projects that will help farmers build a sustainable means of livelihood.

Improve appropriate public access along the Seine River (by low-impact nature trail & by canoe)
