Foster awareness: Help people understand the elements of domestic violence through education, such as its prevalence, why battered victims cannot always leave easily, and what can be done to fight against domestic violence. Encourage advocacy: Encourage people to care about and help put an end to domestic violence. Promote activism: Take an active role in helping battered victims find safety through counseling, education and legal representation. Create support: Provide support for victims of domestic violence.

AIDS Fund

Since our founding, we have been committed to fighting the HIV epidemic until this crisis is over. Advances in treatment and new prevention strategies have now made “Getting to Zero” – zero stigma, zero new infections, and zero deaths – an achievable goal! The focus of all of our programs is to help achieve this goal. Our From All Walks of Life Fund supports the most vulnerable people living with HIV through financial assistance grants during times of crisis. Our annual back-to-school and holiday toy drives support HIV infected/affected youth. Our public awareness and education efforts are designed to combat the stigmas associated with HIV, and to raise awareness and educate the community about the newest prevention strategies, including PrEP (pre-exposure prophylactics), PEP (post exposure prophylactics), TasP (treatment as prevention) and the advances in the care and treatment of HIV.

Joshua Fund

The Joshua Fund Dog Rescue saves dogs and puppies from high kill, overcrowded shelters across the US who are in danger of euthanasia. Our breed focus is Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes. Our main base of operation is Lake Placid, NY and we have a satellite Team in Houston, Texas. We have rescued many dogs and puppies from many other states and placed them in pre-approved loving homes in the North. The only way we can continue our mission is with donations from people just like you. We don't receive any monetary help from government agencies or animal organizations. We strive to save as many dogs as we can. We place them into foster homes and treat the dogs for all medical needs until they are healthy, happy and cleared for travel to Lake Placid, NY for adoption.

Impact Stories
Simons Fund

To save the life of a child . . . and then another, by raising awareness about the conditions that lead to sudden cardiac arrest and death. Vision | A future in which parents and communities don’t lose children to detectable and treatable heart conditions. Mission | To create and advance innovative and evidence-based programs, policies, and research that prevent sudden cardiac arrest and death in children, teens, and young adults. Simon's Heart was started for a boy named Simon who died before his time. Every chapter that we've written contains the names of families and children who have been impacted by heart conditions and/or sudden cardiac arrest. To date, Simon's Heart has provided over 18,400 free heart screenings; 132 have discovered potentially-fatal heart conditions. We authored the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Prevention Act, the first of its kind, which has now been passed in sixteen states. That act has educated over 1 million coaches. Through our GotAED platform, we have placed over 160 AED devices where kids learn and play. We have spread the knowledge of CPR to thousands of youth through our CPR Jukebox. We have produced PSAs with professional athletes and collegiate coaches to spread awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Simon's Heart has a sports cardiology fellow and it has developed HeartBytes, a digital registry to gather data and provide it to researchers, free of charge.
