National Veterans Foundation

The National Veterans Foundation (NVF) was founded in 1985 to help veterans streamline the process of accessing help for the myriad of needs they face, and to help broaden public understanding of these needs--including crisis/PTSD counseling, medical treatment, legal aid, VA benefits assistance, food, shelter, education, employment training, homelessness services, and substance abuse treatment. The NVF operates the Nation's only live, toll-free crisis management, information, and referral helpline (1-888-777-4443; vetsupport@nvf.org) for all veterans and their families; coordinates Public Awareness Programs designed to increase awareness and understanding about the effects of war and human needs of Americas veterans; and conducts ongoing outreach programs that provide veterans and families in need with food, clothing, transportation, employment, and other essential resources.

Blinded Veterans Association

Mission: BVA serves as ambassadors and mentors for all veterans and their families coping with sight loss.Vision:BVA continually strives to better the lives of all who served in the Armed Forces living with sight loss through: expert advocacy, engaged membership, clear communication, and peer inspired self-reliance. Our BVA family epitomizes respect, honor, dedication and commitment to sustain a thriving, informed, patriotic and connected community.Why: BVA is the only congressionally chartered Veterans Service Organization created for, consisting of and led by visually impaired veterans focused on the issues, advocacy and mentorship vital to all veterans and families coping with sight loss regardless of service connection

Empowering veterans and family members to explore the wilderness and therapeutic pathways through outdoor recreation.

Veterans Airlift Command

The VAC provides free air transportation to post 9/11 combat wounded and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. Their priority is on the veterans of Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). As capacity allows, their mission will expand to serve veterans of other conflicts.

We help empower veterans reintegrating into civilian life by growing produce, raising farm animals, and conducting seminars on holistic health and sustainability.
