NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Texas (NAMI Texas) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by volunteers in 1984. NAMI Texas is affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and has 30 local affiliates throughout Texas. NAMI Texas has over 2,000 members made up of individuals living with a mental health condition, family members, friends, and professionals. Its purpose is to help improve the quality of life of people affected by mental illness through education, support, and advocacy.

The mission of the National Alliance on Mental Illness Chicago is to provide hope and improve the quality of life for those whose lives are affected by mental illness.

NAMI recognizes that the key concepts of recovery, resiliency and support are essential to improving the wellness and quality of life of all persons affected by mental illness. Mental illnesses should not be an obstacle to a full and meaningful life for persons who live with them. NAMI will advocate at all levels to ensure that all persons affected by mental illness receive the services that they need and deserve, in a timely fashion. NAMI Rome provides support, education, and advocacy throughout northwest Georgia on behalf of individuals and families affected by mental illness.

NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity and respect for all people affected by mental illnesses. Through education, support and advocacy we strive to eliminate the pervasive stigma of mental illnesses, affect positive changes in the mental health system, and increase the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses.

NAMI Greater Indianapolis is dedicated to improving the lives of persons and families affected by mental illness through education, support and advocacy

NAMI Washington's mission is to improve the quality of life for all those affected by mental illness. We do this by providing a statewide, unifying voice of advocacy and coordinating the delivery of education, support and recovery. NAMI Washington trains affiliate volunteers to teach and lead NAMI's programs in their communities.

NAMI Tennessee is a grassroots, non-profit, self-help organization made up of people affected by mental illness, their families and community members. We are dedicated to improving quality of life for people with mental illness and their families through support, education and advocacy.

NAMI Tallahassee is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and advocacy throughout Leon County and surrounding areas on behalf of individuals and families affected by mental illness.

NAMI Georgia empowers affiliates to provide advocacy, education, support, and public awareness so that all individuals and families affected by mental illness can build better lives.

NAMI Seattle's mission is to address the unmet mental health needs within our community through support, referral, education, and outreach. We envision a world where all those impacted by mental illness know they are not alone, and are empowered to live a fulfilling life.
