The Kansas Land Trust (KLT) protects and preserves lands of ecological, agricultural, scenic, historic, or recreational significance in Kansas. The Kansas Land Trust is an accredited land trust with the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.

As a community organization based in Easthampton, MA, the Trust preserves the community's treasured natural heritage and protects the quality of its future through:Land Conservation. The Trust is given or buys land or easements (legal rights which protect natural resources on a property) with scenic, natural, agricultural, or recreational value. Land Stewardship - The Trust works with its neighbors to protect and improve the Trust's land holdings. Environmental Education - The Trust provides information about environmental issues. Community Parks - The Trust creates and maintains neighborhood parks and recreation areas. The Trust supports Native American access to the land and supports cultural practices.

The Trust Deed of 1975 says "The objects of the Trust shall be to relieve poverty and sickness among the people of Tanzania by means of the development of education, health and other social services, the improvement of water supplies and other communal facilities and the promotion of self- help activities." Interpreting the Trust Deed for the needs of the 21st Century we add: "In making grants, the Trust tries to promote equal opportunities and projects which improve the environment".

The Freshwater Trust protects and restores freshwater ecosystems. Founded in 1983, The Freshwater Trust accelerates the pace and scale of freshwater restoration through the use of science, technology and incentive-based solutions to restore rivers on a timeline that matters. With headquarters in Portland, Oregon, The Freshwater Trust continues to grow its impact and currently works in Oregon, Idaho and California. In 2013, the Trust received the U.S. Water Prize for its innovative solutions to restore rivers and streams in the Pacific Northwest.

Overview: The Landfall Trust is a charitable not-profit supporting the arts, cultural heritage and preservation of the 200-year old Kent Cottage, located in Brigus, Newfoundland, Canada. The Trust provides seasonal artist and writer-in-residence programs at Kent Cottage located on the 11-acre Provincial Heritage Site overlooking Brigus Bay, Brigus, Newfoundland, Canada. The Trust’s Board of Directors serves on a volunteer basis and is supported by an Advisory Committee representing heritage preservation, the visual and literary arts, finance and fund development, facilities and heritage architecture, and education.
