CONSERVE AND PROTECT MISSISSIPPI'S NATURAL RESOURCES AND WILDLIFE LEGACY

Saving Wildlife International’s (SWI) mission is to assist people of all ages and cultures in developing an awareness of and commitment to nature that will result in informed decisions and constructive actions concerning wildlife and our environment. Since April 2000, SWI has enthusiastically shared its commitment to wildlife conservation with diverse audiences ranging from school classrooms to national television. Well on its way to becoming a nationally recognized wildlife organization, they are proud to provide displaced animals with a purpose and permanent home. SWI offers wildlife presentations featuring live mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians to primary and secondary schools, military bases, homeless shelters, and retirement communities throughout California.

Conserving native wildlife and their habitats through research, education and collaboration

Florida Wildlife Hospital is open 365 days a year to admit native Florida wildlife. On average, 5,000 animals are admitted per year and there is never a charge for patient care. Our mission is to keep wildlife wild by providing quality, compassionate care. We support this mission by focusing on: • Providing quality care through networking, continued education, and medical advancements • Releasing only mentally and physically “sound” native Florida wildlife that can positively contribute to the ecosystem in their intended way • Acting as the front lines for disease detection, treatment, and prevention • Empowering our community through education to protect native Florida wildlife and their natural environment • Providing a place to give back through volunteering and donations • And more

OUR MISSION IS TO SUPPORT SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY WILDLIFE THROUGH REHABILITATION AND EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH. WE ENVISION PWC AS AN ADVOCATE FOR WILDLIFE. BY SHARING OUR EXPERIENCES, WE INSPIRE THE COMMUNITY TO REDUCE HARM TO OUR WILD NEIGHBORS

Wildlife Waystation was founded in 1976 to rescue and provide sanctuary for abandoned, abused or injured wild and exotic animals. Internationally known, the Wildlife Waystation has accepted tigers from Ireland, lions from New Zealand and Canada, and a variety of animals from across the United States, as well as Southern California native wildlife. Every rescue was important and, often life-saving. Over the years, thousands of native wildlife have been rehabilitated and successfully released back into their natural habitat. Thousands more, mostly exotics, have remained at our sanctuary. Here, they are well cared for by animal care staff, veterinarians and dedicated volunteers for the rest of their natural lives. Wildlife Waystation is also the largest chimpanzee sanctuary in the Western United States. Most of the chimpanzees have come from biomedical research facilities. Throughout the Waystation's history, educating the public has been a priority with a goal to preserve wildlife through understanding how to co-exist with native wildlife and why exotic animals do not make good pets. Through community programs, volunteers are available to speak to civic groups, scouts and schools and offer a Ranger Program for young children as well. The Wildlife Waystation continues this educational efforts by participating in community events throughout southern California. Frequently, some or our educational animals are also in attendance, a treat for the public and a way to convey our message.

Hancock Wildlife Foundation believes that through education and research we can better conserve our wildlife resources in the face of human interaction. Given time and encouragement the wildlife of our planet can co-exist with man as shown by the tremendous resurgence of the bald eagle in urban and suburban areas after being almost wiped out by poorly thought out laws and human greed. The Hancock Wildlife Foundation is seeking funding for projects which include research and conservation initiatives. As the foundation grows, we will hire more staff-many younger talented people committed to our cause must still make a living. As David Hancock says, "If we can support that, then that is marvelous. However, it is both my position and belief that we will also find, already have found, so many additional talented people with some time (and or dollars) to give that "community stewardship". You, the volunteers, the stewards' of your community, my community-earth, are our biggest asset."

The Canadian Wildlife Federation is dedicated to fostering an awareness and appreciation of our natural world. Federation's Objectives 1.) to ensure the sound, long-term management of British Columbia's fish, wildlife, park and outdoor recreational resources in the best interests of all British Columbians, and to coordinate all the voluntary agencies, societies, clubs and individuals interested in that objective, and 2.) to develop and support a comprehensive educational program to make all British Columbians aware of the value of British Columbia's fish, wildlife, park and outdoor recreational resources, and to arouse in the public conscience a recognition of, and a respect for, the place of fish, wildlife and outdoor recreation in the wise integrated use of the nation's natural resources.

Provide sanctuary and life-time care to animals in need and to educate the public on wildlife, the life sciences and the environment we share.

WRI is a non-profit organization based in San Diego County dedicated to the preservation of wildlife through research, education, advocacy, cooperative work with governmental agencies, and land trust management.

Provide medical treatment, care and rehabilitation to injured and orphaned wildlife with the goal of reuniting them to their natural environment, offering 150 acres of woodlands, ponds, streams and grasslands for safe release.
