Inclusive World’s mission is to enable differently abled individuals to lead a productive life of acceptance and inclusion. We develop skills and abilities of differently abled individuals in alignment with their interests and goals for the future and enable productive opportunities. Rooted in the principles of “Person Centered” practices, we work with differently abled individuals and their families, as “people first”, to recognize their desires, interests and dreams. We offer skills development and employment opportunities that match their interests and focus on their holistic development.
World Mission provides the Word of God in an audio format (The Treasure) for people who learn orally and live in areas where there is little to no Christian church - mostly Africa, Asia and India. We also provide humanitarian aid, pastoral training and clean water solutions, all with the goal of bringing the gospel to those the Holy Spirit is readying. Locally, we have thrift centers that people can donate to and volunteer at. This helps the people living in the area with good clothing and household goods at great prices and helps the people living across the seas in that they are then able to receive the gospel via the Treasure - MP3 player - that is solar-powered and in one of their 7,000 languages/dialects.
We equip, inspire, and mobilize the church to care for orphans and vulnerable children. Churches engaged. Children restored. Communities transformed by the Gospel of Christ
The mission of Light in the World Development Foundation is to enhance the dignity and quality of life of children, families, and people living in our communities in U.S.A and Africa by eliminating barriers to opportunity and helping people in need reach their fullest potential through the power of organization, projects, donations, and philanthropy.
The Long Point area, comprising 26,250 hectares, was designated as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in April, 1986, the third to be named in Canada and one of 15 biosphere reserves found in this country today. It provides an example of the Great Lakes coastal ecosystem and a unique blend of habitats. Its delicate dunes and marshes teem with songbirds, spawning fish, turtles and frogs. The Long Point World Biosphere Reserve Foundation promotes research, monitoring, community outreach and education, partnerships, and projects that support the goals of biodiversity, conservation and sustainable communities in the Long Point World Biosphere Reserve. We exchange information and work collaboratively with the Canadian Biosphere Reserves Association and other biosphere reserves in Canada and internationally. Our UNESCO/MAB Biosphere Reserve designation does not bring with it any new authorities over lands, water or resources.
Our mission is to promote peace and prosperity for the world's poor through the provision and advancement of education, leadership, and business development programs in East Africa.
Our mission is to uphold and instill the inalienable rights guaranteed by the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights, focusing on Article 4 that states: “No one shall be held in slavery or servitude: slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.” With knowledge comes power. We are here to spread awareness and to form strategic partnerships with other like-minded organizations, so that together, we can tackle the many facets of this issue and bring an end to modern day slavery in all its forms.
Harvest Project is a community-based urban relief organization that "extends a hand up, not a hand out" to those in need on Vancouver's North Shore. We touch more than 1,000 people each month - hosting one-on-one client-care coaching appointments, emergency drop-in visits, our grocery service and Clothes for Change thrift shop. For over 20 years, Harvest Project has reached out to individuals and families from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay to help them cope with difficult life circumstances such as family break-ups, illness, job loss, addictions and mental health issues. Our goal is to nurture the potential of every client and coach them towards a more positive future. Harvest Project was founded on the core elements of dignity, respect and accountability. The heart of our mission is the Christian responsibility to love our neighbours and care for those experiencing loss or who are in need.
