Hospitality House

The mission of Hospitality House is to minimize deprivation in our community by providing food and assistance to those in need, while maintaining the utmost respect for the dignity of the individual. Hospitality House works to fulfill this mission by operating a food pantry and providing referral services. In addition, Hospitality House also provides advice and aid to pantries in other cities as they work to fight hunger in the greater southeastern Michigan community.

Caring for the needs of each individual, Gilly’s House collaboratively works with each young man to develop personal goals and a plan to reach them. Gilly’s House offers the opportunity for social, educational and vocational growth. Gilly’s House prepares young men to re-enter life with a positive step forward, personal skills, and community connections to continue to meet individual goals and live a successful life of sobriety.

Sojourn House

Sojourn House is the largest shelter in Toronto dedicated to providing housing and support services to recently arrived refugee claimants. In May 2006 Sojourn House opened it's new building which hosts the shelter, services and 52 units units of supportive transitional housing for refugees experiencing settlement difficulties. Since 1989, thousands of refugee claimants from more than 75 countries have made Sojourn House their first “home” in Canada. With professional staff and volunteers on duty 24 hours a day Sojourn House responds to refugee needs by providing supportive counselling, assistance in the resettlement process and help in navigating the complex government process to acquire landed immigrant status and eventually Canadian citizenship. Your investment will empower refugees, allowing them to grow in confidence and independence as they build a new life in Toronto, free of fear and persecution, for themselves and their children. Nicholas House

The Mission of Nicholas House, Inc. is to assist families in making the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Nicholas House understands that providing basic subsistence - food and shelter, is necessary but not sufficient to prevent most homeless persons from becoming homeless again. Nicholas House helps families address the root causes of their homelessness by offering counseling, case management, assistance with life skills and parenting, and other supportive services.

Adam House

Adam House provides refugee claimants with clean and safe living accommodations. The staff at Adam House provide assistance and advice with immigration procedures, primarily to our residents and former residents. We provide referrals to legal services, medical assistance, and community resources. However, Adam House is much more than shelter or the services we provide. Adam House is home. A place where residents find friendship and support--from our staff and each other. Adam House is also a place where refugee claimants can find hope for their future, as we pray with them through their difficulties, and celebrate their successes. We encourage our clients to contact us for continued support, even after they find permanent homes and move into the community.

Journey House

Journey House supports former foster and probation youth to live fully independent, successful lives. Founded in 1983, Journey House provides emotional support and guidance, as well as financial aid to help them with the cost of attending college and vocational schools.

Poverello House

Believing in the dignity of every person, at Poverello House we work to enrich the lives and spirits of all who pass our way by stewarding the resources made available to us through Providential and community support. Poverello House serves Fresno County.

Hope House

The mission of Hope House is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing safe refuge and supportive services that educate and empower those impacted by domestic violence. Hope House will advocate social change that protects and engenders a person’s right to live a life free of abuse.
