To provide comprehensive child care services for displaced children due to death, seperation, abuse, abandonment, illness or other unfortunate circumstances. To ensure that while they are in our care they are afforded their rights as outlined in our statement of rights of a child. In addition, our children feel comfortable and that they develop a sense of self-worth. To offer our children a place where they can feel safe and secure, but moreover, to provide a place that they call a home.
We are devoted to helping our communities and families live well and achieve meaningful and rewarding lives. This vision is embodied by our residents and clients, as well as our volunteers, partners, and staff. Our core customer service pillars guide us to value the safety of our residents and clients, our strong personal connections, provide meaningful life experiences, and to efficiently find new ways to constantly improve our services. In all of our work, the Masonic Homes of California is guided by the charitable mission and values of the Masons of California, a nonprofit fraternal organization with more than 50,000 members.
Founded in April 2001, Lhasa Happy Homes Rescue, Inc., is a private, non-profit, 501(c)3 rescue and foster-care organization located in Santa Monica, CA. We specialize in Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu and Maltese, but also rescue other small, mixed breed, “hairy” beasts under 20 lbs! Since our inception, we have saved the lives of over 3,000 dogs. We rescue the sick, broken, displaced, and most at-risk pups who otherwise would join the 15,000 pups in Los Angeles City/Los Angeles County who never make it out of the shelters. Our ongoing mission is to match families with their ideal pets and give these special pups a second chance at a great new life.
HRHF is an arm of Hope Rising Homes, Corporation (HRHC). Our mission is to give orphans, vulnerable and at-risk children a better life, by providing hope for a brighter future and a vision of life beyond their present vulnerable situations. HRHC strives to provide food, housing, education, and health care services; as well as rehabilitation, and clinical and faith-based counseling services to these needy children. HRHC aims to provide opportunities for the children to pursue either educational and/or job training, and other skill enhancements needed to become productive citizens. Additionally, by offering positive role models to guide and mentor these children, HRHC believes the children will overcome their negative pasts, and move on to bright and prosperous futures. We strongly believe that with the proper intervention, these children will thrive, develop to their full potential, and positively influence and contribute to their immediate communities and to the society at large.

The Housing Foundation is non profit community service organization building and operating affordable housing since 1952, in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The Foundation's main focus has always been housing for low income seniors who can live independently. Many are assisted by homemakers through Long Term Care Programs and/or Meals on Wheels. In response to the technological innovations and changing demographics in the workplace of the late 1980's, The Foundation reassessed the increased need for accommodations for those between the ages of 50 and 65. In 1992, the age limit was lowered to 50 years. The Foundation has proactively sought new opportunities to expand their vision to include individuals that were marginalized. HFBC is proud to have acquired rent supplements for young, single people on long term disabilities at Harwood Manor and Florence Manor. It is estimated that in 2007 Africa had 11.6 million children orphaned by HIV/AIDS alone (UNAIDS 2008). In addition to HIV/AIDS, many more children in the developing world are orphaned due to extreme poverty, armed conflict and other causes. Some of the world's greatest scientists, dedicated philanthropists and international organizations are deeply committed to fighting the HIV/AIDS pandemic and alleviating the suffering caused by disease, conflict and poverty. While these high profile efforts are imperative, local communities are struggling, in the face of overwhelming numbers, to provide vital care and support to orphaned children in rural settings. Within these regions, community leaders use the very limited funding available to them to keep children off the streets, fed, and educated, in an effort to help them to break the cycle of poverty. These are the community leaders that we wish to support as they work on the frontlines in the fight against HIV/AIDS and poverty.
