Telling a story with your fundraiser page is the most important way to connect with your donors and generate more donations.
Here are the key points to convey in your fundraising title and description:
WHO: Who are you fundraising for? What is the nonprofit’s mission and who do they serve?
WHY: why are you hosting a fundraiser? What is your connection to the cause and why should people care?
WHAT: What will the funding be used for? Are there any specific projects that need funding to get started?
HOW: How much are you looking to fundraise and why did you choose that amount? Are you looking to remodel a playground for $10,000? Do you need to raise funds for the summer program? How much does it cost per kid to enroll in your summer program?
SHARE: Ask your donors to both donate financially and share the fundraiser with their networks. Fundraisers that are shared earn up to 4x more donations!
UPDATE: If it’s a longer fundraising event, provide updates to your donors on the fundraising page.
