Welcome to the Springfield Art Museum - Giving Tuesday 2023 fundraiser page. We are thrilled to have you here! The Friends of the Springfield Art Museum believe in the power of art and its transformative impact on individuals and communities. The Friends organization ensures that the Museum continues its important work of fulfilling its artistic and educational mission.

This Giving Tuesday, we're asking for your help to expand and improve our FREE Family Art Lab and Book Nook areas for children and their families.

Conveniently adjacent to the Museum's Education Wing, the FREE Family Art Lab and Book Nook provide interactive, creative spaces where children and their families explore art on their own terms and their own time - by touching, creating, building, and imagining. Full of blocks, magna-tiles, books, art games, the "Creation Station", and much more, the Family Art Lab provides a break for kids during their Museum visit. The Lab is a destination in its own right as well with many families and groups utilizing the Lab for play dates or "Mommy and Me" activities - and always at no cost! 

The Book Nook is a quiet space where kids can read any number of fantastic children's art books. Or parents can read to their children. 

Both the Family Art Lab and Book Nook are FREE and open to the public during the Museum's regular hours. No registration is required and multiple families can play together if they choose. It's truly a place for gathering, learning, and creative interactions - unlike anything else in our community.
