Kiwimbi is about education and the opportunities learning creates. We see a world where all people are empowered through education to enrich their lives and reach their fullest potential. To reach these goals, we provide a wide range of educational support and opportunities including tutoring in English, Math and other subjects; one-on-one mentoring; intensive exam prep for 200 students for the mandatory national grade 8 exam which includes a daily lunch; vocational training in tailoring and carpentry; sustainable organic kitchen garden and farming techniques; cultural preservation, art classes and a museum; access to books for thousands; reliable electricity and internet at our community learning center, and more. 

Kiwimbi brings children hope that they can escape poverty and have opportunities in life through education, made possible through the resources we provide.

One of the students receiving support from Kiwimbi, Mourene, achieved the highest score in her school on the mandatory Kenyan Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) for 2020 which was given in March of 2021 due to pandemic related school closures for most of 2020.
