Thomas W. Brookover II of Chicago, IL, died on Sunday, March 30, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with uveal melanoma. He was 61. 
Thomas was born inWheeling, West Virginia, to Thomas W. Brookover and Carolyn Witt Brookover. He grew up in Berea, Ohio, and attended St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland. Thomas graduated from The Ohio State University in 1987, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business.  He enjoyed a distinguished career in cable advertising sales in the Chicago market, serving for more than three decades in leadership positions with Time Warner Cable, Comcast Spotlight, AT&T, and DIRECTV Advertising.
 
Thomas was an avid sports fan, particularly of Ohio State Buckeye football. He loved travel and golfing in Tucson, AZ, where he and his wife and their dogs spent much time. Thomas was a man of faith who was wise, compassionate, kind, humble, and funny. He was a beloved husband, brother, and son, as well as a devoted friend, life of the party, and every kid’s favorite uncle.
