WM and The Thunderbirds created the WM Phoenix Open Working For Tomorrow Fund® to support GHG emissions reduction, sustainable materials management, and water management projects right here in Arizona.
2025 beneficiaries include Bonneville Environmental Foundation water restoration and access projects, renewable energy initiatives on Tribal Nations, and feeding the hungry through Waste Not, an Arizona-based charity.
Your donation can support one or any combination of the three projects.
CHANGE THE COURSE
Change the Course drives awareness around water conservation and works to directly restore water to rivers, lakes and aquifers across Arizona. Over the course of the 10-year initiative, the WM Phoenix Open and Change the Course supporters have helped restore more than 400 million gallons of freshwater to benefit Arizona ecosystems and communities. Most recently the WM Phoenix Open focused support on water access and restoration project for Tribal Nations.
RENEWABLE ENERGY & TRIBAL NATIONS
Renewable energy projects with Tribal communities have an incredible impact - supplying energy independence and increasing climate resilience for Tribal Nations. The WM Phoenix Open is supporting Tribal renewable energy projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help meet the challenges of the water and energy nexus in the US Southwest.
WASTE NOT
Waste Not works with restaurants, caterers, hotels, and events, including the WM Phoenix Open, to provide a solution to food waste, by delivering surplus food to non-profits to feed the hungry. No one should go hungry - not when 40% of good, nutritious food goes to landfills each year.
