Women currently face a multitude of challenges when it comes to health, caring for children, and providing for their families. This is particularly the case for lower-income families and those in developing nations that aren't able to have the access to the same healthcare that so many of us take for granted.
As it stands today, childbirth complications rose more than 14% from 2014-2018, with overall pregnancy complications rising 16%. And despite spending an average of $304 billion on women's health annually, the US continually ranks poorly among developed nations on many standard measures of women's health, partly because only a fraction of the cost goes towards clinical care and preventive health services which are critically underfunded.
These four organizations we are featuring as part of this campaign help mothers and women in lasting ways, from providing women access to literacy and business studies to reducing maternal mortality and promoting universal access to reproductive health and family planning.
We hope you consider donating to show your support for accessible women's healthcare - for all.
