Arizona Boston Terrier Rescue, Inc. (AZBTR) is an Arizona non-profit corporation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of unwanted Boston Terriers, education of owners on responsible dog ownership, and education of the public on the Boston Terrier breed. AZBTR began life as the Rescue Committee of the Valley of the Sun Boston Terrier Club, a club founded in 1974 by a group of Boston Terrier lovers and breeders. As responsible breeders they knew that, in addition to improving and protecting the breed, it was also their obligation to help individual Bostons that needed new homes. Over the years, more and more Bostons needed help, and the Rescue Committee's operations grew to the point that it made sense to form a separate Boston Terrier rescue with the exclusive goal of helping dogs that needed new homes. Arizona Boston Terrier Rescue, Inc. was born as a free-standing non-profit corporation in 2006. Today AZBTR takes in adoptable Boston Terriers from many situations. We provide for their medical and behavioral needs, then place them in loving, permanent homes. All of our rescued dogs live with families in foster homes in Arizona. We operate statewide and occasionally take in dogs from nearby states. We do not run a shelter that you can visit. All of the rescue's operations are carried out by volunteers, most of whom have families and full-time jobs. We are very busy! The costs of the care we provide for Boston Terriers adds up. We charge an adoption fee, but it rarely covers all of the costs. We close the gap with fundraising activities throughout the year and donations from Boston Terrier lovers.

Our Mission...The Mile High Labrador Retriever Mission, (MHLRM), a 501(c)3 non-profit public charity, is dedicated to alleviating the needless death and suffering of homeless or misplaced (lost and stray) purebred Labrador Retrievers as well as Labrador mixes mostly in high-kill overpopulated pet areas that usually are out of state. By rescuing and rehabilitating homeless Labradors in high-kill areas, vigorously promoting responsible dog ownership through active participation in pet-related events, and through our own education program, we strive for a better life for each of our animals. The majority of dogs that you see available for adoption with MHLRM were previously in county pounds or shelters that find themselves at capacity and are forced to euthanize, or dogs that have simply "sat on the shelf" and not gotten adopted quick enough and have run out of time. Many of these facilities use euthanasia methods that are considered inhumane by the majority of the US population but are still being implemented (ie. the gas chamber method or "heart-stick" method). We are active in the metro area of Colorado, and we belong to an amazing network of volunteers across the country that work hard in very rural areas to help get Labradors to safety. We have rescued Labs from Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming. When we learn of a dog in need, we coordinate foster arrangements and appropriate health care where the dog is and also here in Colorado, and then we attempt to bring them here to Colorado and MHLRM, find them an amazing family and give them a new outlook on life.

MISSIONThe Fruit Tree Planting Foundation is a nonprofit charity dedicated to planting edible, fruitful trees and plants to benefit the environment and all its inhabitants. Our primary mission is to plant and help others plant a collective total of 18 billion fruit trees across the world (approximately 3 for every person alive) and encourage their growth under organic standards.FTPF provides support, resources, and guidance for those interested in planting fruit trees and spearheads a variety of planting programs. These programs are aimed at enriching the environment, providing nutritious food sources for wild and rescued animals, and improving human health by bringing delicious, fresh, locally grown raw fruits and vegetables of the highest quality into the lives of all people.VISIONWe envision a place where one can have a summer picnic under the shade of a fruit tree, breathe the clean air it generates, and not have to bring anything other than an appetite for the healthy fruits growing overhead. A world where one can take a walk in the park during a lunch break, pick and eat a variety of delicious fruits, plant the seeds so others can eventually do the same and provide an alternative to buying environmentally-destructive, illness-causing, chemically-laden products.Simply put, our goal is to encourage and inspire the planting of 18 billion fruit trees around the world. 18 billion fruit trees can spring out of the soul of one human being — we believe in thinking big, and loving even more

Broken Wings Ministry is dedicated to Tammy's (founder of Broken Wings) brother Jimbo who died on Christmas Eve 2014 from a heroin overdose. He suffered from Opiod / mental health issues. He was a victim of the national opioid crisis in America and did not receive the help he needed. Broken Wings want to restore lives to people who are broken by addiction and mental health / trauma. We offer services in the Orlando area with emphasis on women and children suffering from opiod addiction/ substance abuse and other mental health challenges. Curently we provide services including outpatient office based therapy, animal and garden therapy. Once our residential home is purchased, clients can come and heal in a safe holistic environment (body, mind and spirit). Therapeutic interventions will aim to get at the root cause of addiction/ mental health and seek healing from triggers with effective interventions to avoid relapse. Interventions include: animal therapy, garden therapy, EMDR, talk therapy, group therapy, therapeutic massage, spirituality, develooping life skills, nutrition education and a twelve step program with family involvement. Then, after a client graduates from our program we want to follow them for life. We believe that recovery is a life long process and want to stand by our alumni. Therefore, Broken Wings will offer lifelong alumni outpatient counseling services to clients for support to prevent relapse.

Promoting Animal Welfare on Superior's Shores Helping PAWS Pet Rescue, Inc. was founded for the sole purpose of helping to stop the suffering of companion animals caused by homelessness, overpopulation, and mistreatment. Our goal is that no adoptable companion animal ever be euthanized for lack of medical care and a good home. This goal is not limited to dogs and cats, but extends equally to horses, rabbits, birds and other domestic species. Our mission is to proactively aid homeless and unwanted animals by offering, not just a "humane" alternative, but to provide in each case the best possible process that would result in each individual pet finding its forever-home. Our mission is unique in that we include not only young, healthy homeless pets, but also owner surrenders and individuals with medical needs that would cause them to be rejected by or euthanized by other organizations. Helping PAWS Pet Rescue, Inc. believes that the means to accomplishing our mission should be two-fold: Serving animals and educating people. Serving Animals: Spaying and neutering all homeless pets in our care prior to adoption as well as offering low-cost spays and neuters to low income families is primary. Veterinary care is available to homeless pets, with procedures, medications, and special diets provided as needed. We arrange foster homes for pets awaiting placement and adoption services by application. Educating People: Equally important is education of the public in every way possible to keep their chosen pet happy, well, and in their home. Our presence at Country Care Pet Hospital promotes daily our philosophy of preventive maintenance, optimal nutrition, medical care and the importance of the human-animal bond. Helping PAWS participates in a great variety of local pet-related events and presentation opportunities, including visits to local schools, retail outlets and community groups.

Nestled on 30 park-like acres in north Florida, Rooterville is home to over 400 rescued farm animals, primarily pigs of all types. Encouraging compassion, inspiring change is our mission at Rooterville and we've been faithfully executing on that mission for over 15 years. We share our beautiful sanctuary and our precious animal ambassadors with thousands of visitors every year. We tell their stories of abuse or neglect and encourage our guests to make kinder choices. Our hope is that guests who come through our gates will have an unforgettable experience that will help move them to transition to a compassionate, sustainable and health-promoting plant-based diet.  At Rooterville, we believe that by helping people understand that the simple choices they make every day have a profound impact on their own health, the environment, and the animals who live in misery until the time they are killed for food encourages them to make better choices in their daily lives, choices that better reflect who they are as caring individuals. Meeting the animal ambassadors at the sanctuary creates memories that will last a lifetime and encourages critical thinking about dietary choices. We want to GROW, we have created a magical place like no other and we want to share it with more people. That is why we are working hard to raise the funding to buy property near Orlando. This will allow many more thousands of guests the opportunity to visit and experience Rooterville and in so doing, help us generate more revenue from donations, sales of food, overnight stays and events, and on site and online gift shop sales to make our organization self sustaining. If there is one thing we would love to do at Rooterville, it is MORE. We don't have much time to turn things around for our beautiful planet and the wild creatures that are left on it. WE SPECIALIZE IN THE CARE OF AND EDUCATION ABOUT RATTUS NORVEGICUS (NORWAY RATS); HOWEVER, IN SOUTH FLORIDA IF YOUR PET IS UNUSUAL, SUCH AS A CHINCHILLA, SUGAR GLIDER, HAMSTER, GERBIL, RAT, MOUSE, FERRET, BUNNY, OR GUINEA PIG, THERE ARE VERY FEW SAFE PLACES TO SURRENDER. WE CARE FOR THE SMALL AND DISENFRANCHISED.. THE UNDERVALUED PRAY ANIMALS DOMESTICATED OVER 150 YEARS AGO .. We at the Humane Society of Chittenden County believe that supporting, strengthening and sustaining the bonds between people and pets improves the well-being of individuals, families and communities. Our mission is to ensure that every pet has a loving home and that every pet owner has access to the resources they need to give those pets happy, healthy lives. Our mission is to: Provide for the health and well-being of companion animals that are in need and find each a loving home Reduce the number of unwanted animals through spay/neuter programs Offer affordable health and wellness services and resources to pet owners in need, targeting the underserved population Promote the animal-human bond through outreach, humane education, and therapeutic programming Advocate on behalf of animals in crisis and as an enforcer of their rights and protection through education, investigation, and legislative efforts. HSCC is an independent, 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that receives no city, state or federal funding. We are not affiliated with any national organizations, such as the Humane Society of the United States. We rely solely on the limited revenue generated by our programs and fees, and on the tremendous generosity of our community. In fact, the majority of our annual revenue comes from charitable giving! We serve Vermont’s most populated county, Chittenden, as well as Grand Isle County. Founded in 1901, HSCC has been serving both animals and people for well over 100 years. The original facility was built by June & Herb Davis, considered the modern-day founders of HSCC, but was outgrown by the late 1990’s. Our current facility was completed in October of 2002 and boasts nearly 12,000 square feet of animal care and adoption space, where we take in over 1,400 animals each year and welcome as many as 20,000 visitors annually. The majority of the animals at HSCC are cats and dogs, but we also provide care and services for small animals such as rabbits, ferrets, and guinea pigs.

Their Mission: Operation Paws for Homes rescues dogs of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters reducing the numbers being euthanized. Most of our dogs come from rural shelters in South and North Carolina, as well as Virginia. We also partner with local shelters as needed. Our organization provides pet adoption services to families located in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania and neighboring states. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families who open their homes to give love and attention to each dog before finding a forever home. Through the foster care program, we are able to learn about each dog and their needs and we provide their potential and future adopters with this information. We believe in responsible adoptions and strive to work with each adopter to find a good match for their home and lifestyle. We are fortunate to have over 200 active volunteers who help OPH find forever homes for over 1,000 dogs a year, to carry out education and outreach events throughout the DMW, and conduct donation drives for our partner shelters in the south. Operation Paws for Homes, a 501(c)(3) organization, is 100% donor funded. We receive no funding from federal, state, or county governments. As a result, we rely on the generous donations from our supporters and the adoption fees for each dog in order to save the dogs in need that join our rescue organization. Our goal is to fulfill the dreams of dogs who find themselves abandoned in shelters. Sadly, without our help, all of these adoptable animals would face almost certain euthanasia - usually within days or hours of arriving at the shelter. Each year we take in hundreds of wonderful animals who were left at shelters by no fault of their own. We work hard to unite them with forever families who will give them the life and love they deserve. Without the dedication of our incredible adopters, fosters, donors, and volunteers, we would be unable to fulfill this dream.

Arkansas Paws in Prison is committed to rehabilitating inmates and giving rescue dogs a second chance at life by preparing them to be loving, obedient, adoptable pets. The Paws in Prison program pairs inmate trainers with rescue dogs for eight to ten weeks of obedience training and socialization in preparation for adoption. Prior to graduating from the program, each dog must pass the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Ready test. Because the dogs are properly socialized and trained, their chances of adoption improve drastically, and the risk of being returned to a shelter for unruly behavior decreases significantly. Many of our program’s “graduates” have gone on to become therapy animals and service dogs, including the first water leak detection dog in North America. Paws in Prison collaborates with animal shelters and rescues throughout the state to advance its goal to reduce the number of dogs languishing in shelters and reduce the number of dogs euthanized each year in Arkansas. Since the program began in 2011, more than 2,400 dogs have been rescued, trained, and adopted by loving forever families. Additionally, Arkansas Paws in Prison strives to decrease recidivism rates by providing incarcerated individuals with the opportunity to give back to the community and acquire skills that support successful rehabilitation and re-entry into society. Over the years, Paws in Prison has continued to expand its capacity to fulfill the need for vocational training and rehabilitation programs for offenders. Male and female inmates at seven prison facilities throughout the state now have the opportunity to learn the vocational skill of dog training. Inmate trainers attend weekly professional training classes and maintain a daily journal of their dog’s progress, which improves their literacy and communication skills. In addition to employment skills, participants also gain interpersonal skills. The program teaches them responsibility, compassion, and to care for others. Many of the trainers are hired for animal-related jobs after parole. A number of released participants have dedicated their lives to saving animals and work for Paws in Prison’s partner rescues and shelters, and several have established successful careers as service dog trainers. One former inmate trainer now works in the prisons as a professional dog training instructor, teaching inmates in the program and serving as an example of what can be accomplished with hard work and dedication after incarceration. Rhode Home Rescue specializes in rescuing dogs from unhealthy situations – be it kill shelters, incapable owners, and surrenders – and finding them the furever homes they deserve. At Rhode Home, we fully believe that adopting a rescue not only save them, but saves you too!

Right now Amaya's primarily takes in raccoons as that is what we have outdoor space for. We do not take in birds or deer, but we will try to direct you to people who can help. Thank you for helping the wildlife !
