Rawhide Rescue

Rawhide Rescue was formed to serve the needs of homeless dogs by providing loving and expedient rescue, foster homes and placement with a great measure of compassion and through teamwork with you and other rescue groups and shelters.

Huron County Humane Society

Since 1953, the mission of their shelter has been to provide a haven for Huron county residents to safely surrender their animals when unforeseen circumstances come up. We accept dogs, cats, and other domesticated animals. We are unable to accept stray or outdoor cats and all stray or lost dogs must go to the Huron County Dog Warden. If you have any questions or would like to get on our surrender waitlist, you can give us a call at 419-663-7158, during business hours.

Barn Buddies Rescue

Barn Buddies Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating current owners of farm animals regarding placement (i.e. rescue), rather than release of such animals onto vacant land surrounding the Las Vegas Valley and/or our vicinity parks. We operate out of and are integrated with the farm, which is our parent organization. All proceeds from the farm go to the care and feeding of the animals, most of which are rescues. We will network with other groups to find appropriate homes – either temporary, until you get settled in new living quarters – or permanent, if you are no longer able to care for your animals. Our mission is to provide the best quality of life for abandoned farm animals that are being displaced by those losing their homes, family groups and/or jobs. We, at Barn Buddies Rescue, strongly encourage education regarding non-breeding of farm animals within the Las Vegas valley. Overpopulation of farm animals is overcrowding shelters, sanctuaries and temporary foster homes and we hope to be a part of the solution. Homes with a heart are needed for displaced farm animals. If you are able to help farm animals that are looking for either temporary or long term placement, please contact us. We encourage you to do your homework regarding the type of animal you may be able to consider for foster or permanent placement. Be very sure of your commitment to ensure the animal will not have to go through displacement in the future. A home check will be required prior to foster or adoption. Volunteers are always needed as well as vehicles and trailers to pick up, transport and drop off larger animals. If you are able to provide physical help, supplies, blankets, crates, equine equipment or anything that may help us help the animals, please contact us.

Pledgeling California Wildfire Animal Relief Fund

When you donate to the California Wildfire Animal Relief Fund, you are supporting work on the ground by trusted nonprofit organizations. Every donation will be split evenly between Humane Society of Ventura County and Panda Paws Rescue in support of animals who have been evacuated, displaced and are in need of sanctuary due to the wildfires in California. Your support is needed now more than ever, as communities struggle to survive from the devastation caused by these fires. All donations are tax-deductible and each organization has been vetted by the Pledgeling Foundation.

Impact Stories
Kansas Humane Society of Wichita

The Kansas Humane Society is the largest privately-funded, non-profit animal shelter organization in the state of Kansas. We believe pets are safest in a community that values and protects them, best cared for by a responsible and loving family, healthiest when seen regularly by a veterinarian, and that saving animal lives involves much more than increasing adoptions and decreasing euthanasia. Did you know we have many programs and services such as counseling to help people find solutions to keep their pets? We offer spay/neuter services to families in need to help prevent unwanted litters. Since 1888, we have helped hundreds of thousands of Wichita’s pets by providing them care, comfort, hope, and most importantly, a second chance at a new life.

Bichon Rescue Of Orange County

Bichon Rescue of Orange County California is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of neglected, abused, or otherwise homeless Bichon Frises, especially seniors, bichon mixes and other small non-shedding breeds, placing these rescues into permanent, stable, and caring forever homes. We believe in the value of our senior citizens as adopters as well as fosters and are committed to their advocacy and support through our “Seniors for Seniors” focus. We believe in promoting awareness of the need to spay and neuter pets, and of the importance of proper medical, dental and nutritional care. We believe in cultivating a volunteer spirit in our youth and educating them about the importance of pet advocacy.

Chimp Haven

Outside Shreveport, Louisiana, on 200 acres of beautiful, forested sanctuary, more than 300 chimpanzees, many of whom were used in biomedical research, are living the good life — or, as we like to call it, the Chimp Life. At Chimp Haven, chimps retired from research experience the joys they would have enjoyed in the wild: climbing trees, living in large, bonded social groups, eating their favorite fruits, running, playing, exploring, and — best of all — choosing how they spend their days. We believe they all deserve a chance to live the Chimp Life. That’s why we’re working diligently to transport all remaining chimpanzees to the sanctuary as soon as possible and embarking on an ambitious sanctuary expansion to ensure there is room to welcome them all home. On behalf of the more than 300 chimps currently enjoying retirement at Chimp Haven, and the many more to come, thank you for your support!
