OUR MISSION To spark greater human connections through musical storytelling, providing unforgettable performances that reflect the world around us and reimagine what the choral experience can be. HOW WE DO IT Our dedicated volunteer chorus partners with the world’s most talented, multi-disciplinary artists to create exceptional presentations that cross genres and promote deeper engagement with our audiences. We revive neglected masterpieces, energize the traditional repertoire through innovative collaborations, and commission new works on timely topics. We draw upon the rich diversity within our community to inspire us artistically and help guide us as members of our board, chorus, and staff. WHY WE DO IT (OUR VALUES) We believe that – as our founder Robert Shaw wrote in 1941 – “beautiful music is not the privilege of a few, but a necessity of us all.” We believe the human voice raised in communal song has a unique power to unite and inspire the best in all of us. We believe that working together toward artistic excellence can lift the human spirit and foster stronger interpersonal connections. We believe it is our responsibility to create art that is relevant to and resonates with our many audiences, bringing together voices from all backgrounds and walks of life. We believe in keeping our art form vibrant by engaging and involving the next generation of singers, creative artists, and audiences.

Totem Project

Welcome to the podcast "If You Knew Me". This podcast is an initiative of The Totem Project (TTP). The Totem Project is a non-profit media initiative working to document and share stories about change, renewal and the collective good. TTP will pursue its mission by creating podcasts, documentaries and feature length films that capture the educational values in storytelling - centered around stories of transformation of individuals who come to appreciate the central purpose of their life and the impact that their transformation has on them and those around them. If You Knew Me is a multi-media initiative that investigates and values women's inner lives. We're on a mission to improve wellbeing through story. On our weekly podcast, we share first-person, true stories from women around the world. In each episode, one woman tells a powerful story about something she has rarely or never shared, even with her closest friends. It's something she has hidden away, secretly lived through, or amazingly triumphed over. Each story is true and every woman tells its in her own voice. Guests can share their real name or remain anonymous. Our other upcoming projects include an accompanying, large-format photography book and documentary films. It's incredibly helpful to have a stable source of funding. We want "If You Knew Me" to be a lifelong body of work. A big part of that is being supported by people who care about it most. If that’s you, we are so grateful for your support.

Art Set Apart Inc

Set Apart is a non-profit, creative arts ministry that believes God has set each of us apart for a specific purpose that is to be realized during our lifetime. We believe that these personal missions are not just to be used for individual benefit, but for the benefit of many. Our objective is to spread this same belief to others and to help them achieve their God-given mission in life. As these individuals engage in a relationship with God, discover more about who they were created to be, and do what they were created to do, we will find ways that we can be set apart + together.

MUSIC KITCHEN - FOOD FOR THE SOUL INC

To bring top emerging and established professional musicians together in order to share the inspirational, therapeutic, and uplifting power of music with New York City’s disenfranchised homeless shelter population. I believe a shelter exists to provide not only physical but emotional and spiritual support to those who, for whatever reason, have lost the foundation of their homes and communities. I believe that music reaches the core of our being and can play a vital role in nourishing hope, love and strength, particularly when performed at an extremely high artistic level and in a friendly, relaxed setting.

Exsultet

Exsultet is an auditioned women’s chorus performing a repertoire of choral literature across musical periods and cultures in residence at First Congregational Church in Holliston, Massachusetts. For Exsultet, music and the spoken word are intimately related. But this unity does not stop at choral music – our concerts also incorporate readings, drama, and poetry. The beauty inherent in the music is reflected in the drama the audience experiences through our actors. Our innovative novel-in-a-concert format draws you into the drama through fusion of action, poetry, and song. The members of Exsultet invite you to be transported to another time and another place at one of our performances. We few, we happy few, love making music and challenging ourselves to present concerts which enlighten and entertain. Join us for an exciting season of music, drama, and poetry.
