The mission of the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Old West Museum is to cultivate a rich educational space for the diverse, international community served by, and rooted in, the American western legacy of Cheyenne Frontier Days.

The Mattress Factory is a museum of contemporary art located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, US. Located in the Mexican War Streets neighborhood of Pittsburgh’s Central Northside since 1977, the Mattress Factory is host to 75,000 visitors per year. It exhibits room-sized installation art by regional, national and international artists.

The museum's official mission statement is "Where stories of military and civilian aviation and March Field come alive." This mission is typically expressed (in publicity, marketing, and internal training materials) as "The March Field Air Museum is a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to promoting an understanding of humanity's reach for the skies and March Field's pivotal role in the development of flight." The Holter Museum inspires, connects, and heals our community through contemporary exhibitions and innovative arts programming.The museum brings national and international exhibitions into the region, providing a much-needed venue for local and regional artists. The Holter Museum of Art also collects and preserves regional artworks in its permanent collection. The Holter is committed to promoting participation of diverse audiences through outreach, innovative educational programming, and collaboration with other organizations.

The Marin Museum of Contemporary Art connects art, community, and artistic expression. The Museum is a vibrant arts center located at Hamilton Field. We offer free contemporary art exhibitions that showcase local, national, and international artists. The museum has a main gallery as well as the Ron Collins lobby gallery, a museum store, an education program, and artist studios. Over 55 artists have working studios in four buildings that provide an atmosphere of creative energy in which contemporary art flourishes.

MNA's mission is to inspire a sense of love and responsibility for the beauty and diversity of the Colorado Plateau through collecting, studying, interpreting and preserving the region's natural and cultural heritage. PAMM is a modern and contemporary art museum located in downtown Miami, Florida, and is dedicated to collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting international art of the 20th and 21st centuries with an emphasis on the cultures of the Atlantic Rim—from which the vast majority of Miami residents hail. To complement its mission and to provide a broader historical context, PAMM presents works of art outside of this time frame when appropriate. PAMM is dedicated to education and scholarship. To this end, the Museum takes a variety of approaches. PAMM engages the community in lively exchange, fosters fresh ideas, and conveys the excitement of the creative process. The Museum is a catalyst for the visual arts nationally and internationally, and is known as a leader in museum education.

With two locations, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (MCASD) is the region's foremost forum devoted to the exploration and presentation of the art of our time, presenting works across all media created since 1950. VISION MCASD is a museum providing public access to contemporary art, artists, and the creative process; a forum for the exploration and understanding of contemporary art and ideas; and a laboratory for artists to experiment with new forms of creative expression.
