Arts on the Horizon was founded as a professional, non-profit theatre company with a specific focus of providing performances and arts education programs for an audience of young people ages 0 to 6 years old and their families.Arts on the Horizon values intelligent, innovative, and original work for very young audiences that is accessible, affordable, inspiring and joyful. We believe the arts play an important role in children’s lives. The results can be seen in their development of critical thinking skills, self-confidence, and independence.

Hungry For Music

At Hungry for Music, our mission is putting quality musical instruments into hungry hands. We serve children who demonstrate a desire to learn music, as well as teachers who have students willing to learn. In 23 years, we've delivered 10,000 instruments to children in 48 states and 20 countries. We believe that by sharing instruments and musical experiences, children who would not otherwise have the opportunity can experience a kind of freedom and self-discovery that is often stifled in an atmosphere of economic hardship.

Oak Grove Theater

Oak Grove Theater began in 1954. A community theater group performing an annual five play summer season. The plays are performed at night, out-of-doors, at beautiful Oak Grove just outside of Verona, Virginia. Please feel free to come picnic at the Grove before the sun sets and the play begins. The season begins late in May and ends in late August. Oak Grove productions open on a Thursday night. Each show has a seven consecutive night run. All performances begin at 8:45 p.m. sharp. Oak Grove is an all volunteer organization supported entirely by season tickets and our wonderful patrons. Thank you!

This program is a safe place where kids and adults can participate in arts education programs such as professional-level community theatre, set design workshops, graphic design workshops, theatrical hair & make-up workshops, and theatrical sound and lighting mentorships and much more.
