Idaho Public Television

Since 1982, IdahoPTV has operated as a statewide system it is an entity of the State of Idaho overseen by the Idaho State Board of Education Headquartered in Boise, the system has 5 digital transmitters at the following sites Boise, Twin Falls, Pocatello, Moscow and Coeur d'Alene - as well as 41 translators, which expand the digital broadcast signal throughout the mountainous state Broadcast programming on IdahoPTV reaches approximately 155,000 homes each week.

Teen International Media Exchange

In the wake of September 11, 2001, a group of Los Angeles media instructors and professionals gathered to discuss the tragedy. They were determined to “go global” and make a major, long-term impact on the world community.The Teen International Media Exchange (TIME) was born, and found a home at the Media Academy at Grover Cleveland High School in Reseda, CA, where two of the founders teach.Today, TIME is a non-profit organization with an explicit mission: to empower the energy of teenagers and the dynamic power of the media to create a peaceful, cooperative world community.

Filmscene

FilmScene's mission is to challenge, inspire, educate, and entertain our diverse communities through the shared discovery of film. FilmScene is Iowa City's nonprofit cinema, working in partnership with the Bijou Film Board, a University of Iowa student organization, to present films at two locations on five permanent screens and a seasonal outdoor cinema. From our home in Downtown Iowa City, we enrich the cultural vitality of the surrounding area through community-supported programming that showcases exceptional American and international filmmaking in a vibrant, accessible, equitable, and welcoming space.

New York Public Radio

New York Public Radio is home to three of the country’s leading public radio stations – WNYC FM, WNYC AM and WQXR FM – as well as New Jersey Public Radio and The Jerome L. Greene Performance Space. WNYC is a major producer of original content for public radio nationwide. WQXR is New York City’s only all-classical music station. New Jersey Public Radio covers the issues that matter in the garden state and extends New York Public Radio’s news, talk and cultural programming deeper into New Jersey. The Greene Space is a street-front broadcast studio and live venue where audiences can experience our programming in person and online. 

Kartemquin Educational Films

Kartemquin Films is a home for independent filmmakers developing documentary as a vehicle to deepen our understanding of society through everyday human drama. Focusing on people whose lives are most directly affected by social and political change and who are often overlooked or misrepresented by the media, Kartemquin's films open up a dialogue, both in communities and between the general public and policymakers. Kartemquin documentaries are supported by civic engagement strategies that are developed with local and national partners to foster understanding, change thinking, and build support for social change. As a locally and nationally-recognized media arts organization, Kartemquin acts as a trusted bridge between communities and the media, fosters the growth of emerging filmmaking voices passionate about social issues and media policy, and encourages staff and stakeholders to play a role in advocating for a strong public media.

Green Map System

We're engaging communities worldwide in charting a sustainable future - for all of us! With inclusive participation our goal and mapmaking our medium, Green Map System empowers a diverse global movement that promotes local green living, natural, cultural and social resources. Today, in 1,000 cities, villages and neighborhoods in 65 countries, Green Maps are guiding millions to make climate-smart everyday decisions that promote the uniqueness of home and protect the species that share it with us. Working collaboratively since 1995, we expand the demand for healthier, more vibrant communities with our adaptable mapmaking tools and universal icons, multi-lingual participatory websites, workshops and regional hubs. Transforming local information into global interaction, our interactive Open Green Map platform invites the public to enhance the maps as well as explore them.
