Their mission at OrphanList.org is simple. They believe that God deeply cares about His creation. They feel it is a great honor to be used by God to extend His love and care for those who desperately need it. They are grateful for the missionaries who have dedicated their lives to work every day with the forgotten children God loves. If OrphanList.org can help them provide the basic needs for these children, they can be equipped to do what they do best – love and care for those in need.
No one will die of an illness because (s)he couldn't afford the medical treatment. No one will be denied school or college education because (s)he couldn't pay the fees. No one will remain unemployed because (s)he couldn't afford to hone a skill and earn a livelihood. No one's financial capacity will hold him/her back if (s)he wants to give. Chamwino Connect is a 501c3 fundraising organization that supports lifelong education in central Tanzania. We are driven by a famous saying in Swahili: “Elimu ni unfunguo wa maisha—Education is the key to life.” We believe that education can end the cycle of poverty and empower the most vulnerable. Education brings opportunity and changes lives. Through opening an early learning center, providing scholarships for higher education, and increasing the educational resources in public schools, we are enhancing the value of education provided in Chamwino. Our aim is to lay the foundation of early childhood education for children, prolong the education of youth, and continue education where it stopped short for adults.
The core ideas that underpin the mission of Ujyalo Foundation are: Innovation, Gender Inclusive Leadership, and Social Enterprise. Based on these core ideas, Ujyalo Foundation's mission is "to empower communities through technologies, innovation, social enterprise, and gender inclusive leadership, collaboratively locally and globally". We strongly believe that the best way to create sustainable development in any community is by investing in its young women. With initiatives like EmpowHER, and Women Leadership Summit, we provide safe platforms for young women to enhance their leadership skills, explore their unique selves as leaders in their communities, and develop their ideas into potential livelihood opportunities in Nepal. These programs give women a safe space to learn and lead without any social stigma or fear of discrimination. After going through our programs, our women have become confident, independent leading their ideas in different capacities, and creating their own strong collectives of young women. After leading these initiatives for two years and working with 1600 young women, we have discovered just how much such an effort can contribute in the advancement of young women and their causes, especially in a society driven by patriarchy. We want young women in Nepal to believe that a space where young women can lead fearlessly on the basis of their merit and idea, not their gender is possible. Our vision is to create a world where young women can live, learn and lead without any prejudice and discrimination, and have men as the champions to promote women safety and leadership.
Too Little Children is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, that was formed to serve the children who have too little. This particular population is especially vulnerable and forgotten, and they feel that it is both their responsibility and privilege to care for them. They have established programs to provide enough for these children, in a variety of different ways. Their programs are constantly being altered and improved as they learn more about their needs and the best ways to meet them. Their focus is developing countries and their scope is broad but simple: they want to provide enough for the children who are in need. They want to go beyond their physical and financial needs because they genuinely believe that a child who is unloved and uncared for suffers as much as the child who has nothing to eat. They are honored to serve all children, regardless of background, beliefs, or tribal affiliations.
Northern Environment Action Team (NEAT) is a grassroots, not-for-profit organization. Since 1989, NEAT has focused on increasing awareness of resource conservation, waste reduction and other urban environmental issues through educational programming, special events and other programs. NEAT’s philosophy is that simple, practical actions will lead to significant reduction in our personal environmental impact. NEAT has found that initiatives which promote change to a more environmentally responsible attitude are most effective when implemented at the community level and involve direct contact with people. NEAT believes that outreach programs will ultimately foster lifestyle changes in the community that will ensure the continuation of these positive actions and entrench them as accepted attitudes. NEAT is an award-winning organization and enjoys strong community support demonstrated by public participation and political support for its environmental educational initiatives.
