To provide immediate relief in case of natural disasters and calamities and also to take active part in rehabilitation of the affected population.

Project1808 promotes sustainable community development in Kabala, Koinadugu District, Sierra Leone by aiding young students in their efforts to identify and address the root causes of poverty, public and environmental health challenges, and other community-identified concerns. Among our project's specific aims are the following: Fostering academic excellence and nurturing a resilient knowledge base through student mentoring, tutoring, internships, and teacher training programs. Stimulating curiosity, creativity, and innovation through student generated projects that enhance knowledge and encourage students to implement their ideas in ways that benefit their communities. Facilitating local and global partnerships for knowledge exchange, training for students, teachers and community members, student mentoring, and resources to sustain the community knowledge base Our Model Project1808 Model for sustainable development At the core of our sustainable community model is an investment in disadvantaged youth, schools, and their communities to form the building blocks as LEGOs of healthy communities in Sierra Leone and Africa. Through specific GLocal (Global and Local) partnerships, we practice the concept of thinking globally and acting locally, enhancing the exchange of knowledge, increasing the cultural competency, and expanding the worldview of all of our participants. Project1808 is committed to optimizing partnerships between educational institutions locally, within Africa and overseas, particularly with the involvement of other African countries. We want to bring back hope to youths (and whole communities) whose lives, homes, families, schools, infrastructure, institutions were destroyed by 11 years of war in Sierra Leone.

Maranatha spreads the gospel throughout the world as it builds people through the construction of urgently needed buildings. Maranatha is a non-profit, responsive organization that works in conjunction with the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide strong, dignified structures for worship and education. Around the world, there are thousands of congregations praying for a proper church to call their own while meeting in sheds or under trees. Children are going to school in dilapidated buildings, causing their quality of education to suffer. To fill this urgent need, Maranatha constructs churches and schools—facilities that later become centers of outreach for a community. History has shown that the construction of churches and schools is a catalyst for membership growth in a region. To broaden the impact of the work, Maranatha organizes short-term mission trips. Averaging about 10-14 days, these mission projects mobilize volunteers who are willing to fund their own travel and lodging for a life-changing service experience. Once there, volunteers not only work on the construction site but also organize service activities, such as medical clinics and educational programs for children. The mission experience can have a transformative effect on a volunteer. From exposure to a new culture and society to a deep spiritual growth, people return changed and ready to positively impact their own communities at home. Each year, Maranatha organizes more than two dozen Open Team Projects, which are coordinated by Maranatha staff and invites anyone to join. Additionally, Maranatha helps teams to create their own projects, called Group Projects, to build Maranatha structures. Since 1969, Maranatha has worked in nearly 90 countries around the world, including North America.

Building Futures Thailand does just that, it builds schools and libraries for kids who have never had the luxury of such essentials that most of us take for granted. Building Futures Thailand started in the aftermath of the tsunami that ravished many parts of Thailand and other countries in that region. Founder Kris Edwards asked herself how she could help. Visiting Phuket for the first time in 2007 as the happy homes’ first volunteer (an orphanage built in the aftermath of the tsunami to house children who lost their families), Kris decided that she could do more. Along with Linda Teel and Kathy Sebuck, in 2011 Kris founded the nonprofit Building Futures Thailand, Inc. Which focused on building libraries, playgrounds and providing financial support for orphanages and severely underfunded schools in the Phuket area. By 2014 our work in Phuket was complete but rather than stop there, we looked further within Thailand and found warm heart, located in Northern Thailand. By November 2014 we had constructed Barb’s Place (a large community education center and public access computer lab serving all of Phrao) which was named in memory of Kris’ mom, a dedicated educator. Barb’s Place offers the people of Phrao a public access computer lab, internet, first rate computer literacy and english courses, critical resources and educational opportunities. Every year Building Futures Thailand sends a group of volunteers (at the volunteers expense) to work with the local staff at facilities around Thailand to either build or renovate the community learning centers used by the children and other members of these impoverished communities. Since 2014, Building Futures Thailand has aligned with Warm Heart to offer both educational and local support. It is this support that helps build and fund technology development projects such as Barb's Place.

Mission statement The mission of Plant-for-the-Planet is to empower children and young people worldwide to engage in global solutions to fight the climate crisis. Our core focus is on the planting of trees as a generation-spanning, peace building activity, providing hope and buying us time to reach net-zero emissions. To that end, Plant-for-the-Planet is supporting global reforestation and ecosystem restoration efforts. Description Our adventures began in 2007, when at the end of a school presentation 9-years-old Felix Finkbeiner called on children of the world to plant a million trees in each country on Earth. This idea soon became an initiative backed by thousands. Plant-for-the-Planet was born! In the following years, Felix attended major conferences and events to invite children from all over the world to join his initiative as Climate Justice Ambassadors and to mobilize people around the globe to plant trees. In 2011, Felix spoke at the United Nations in New York, and called mankind for planting of a trillion trees. Only a few month later, the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) handed over to us their Billion Tree Campaign - and with it the official World Tree Counter. This Billion Tree Campaign we soon expanded to become the Trillion Tree Campaign. Our claim is “Stop talking. Start planting.” In 2015, Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation in collaboration with Plant-for-the-Planet A.C. in Mexico started its own restoration site on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. Here we contribute to the global goal by planting the trees donated to us and thus restore degraded forests in one of the most threatened ecosystems of the world. As we embark on the restoration journey ourselves we can also provide all organizations worldwide with adequate support based as well on science and experience. Our vision and goals Plant-for-the-Planet has two central objectives: to support ecosystem restoration efforts globally as well as educate and prepare today’s children and youth to face the challenges of the climate crisis. For the children and young people it is about nothing less than their future on this planet. To support restoration and reforestation, Plant-for-the-Planet has developed different technical tools. One of these is the Plant-for-the-Planet platform, which favors the collaboration of people worldwide by helping restoration organizations throughout the world to get funds to finance the work of restoration in their countries. A spearheading innovation is the TreeMapper App. This App allows restoration organizations throughout the world to document and monitor their work directly on the field. All collected data are matched on the Plant-for-the-Planet platform so that the donors can track the progress of planting just from the sofa. To empower children and youth worldwide to make themselves heard Plant-for-the-Planet supports them in multiple ways. First of all with the Plant-for-the-Planet Academies, one-day-workshops during which children learn from their peers and train to become Climate Justice Ambassadors in their turn. In these academies, the children experience in a vivid way how the climate crisis threatens their future and the lives of people around the world. In working groups, they develop initial ideas for their actions they can take to mobilize for their future.. This is aimed at familiarizing them with social and climate justice, as well as their own civic duty. To date, 1,656 Academies in 75 countries have taken place and 92,837Climate Justice Ambassadors have been trained. The Ambassadors can then further their education and involvement by following online-workshops offered by Plant-for-the-Planet and held by individual experts and coaches or e-learning materials. We also enable our Climate Justice Ambassadors to hold speeches at events to raise awareness about the climate crisis and inform others about the mission of Plant-for-the-Planet. The impact of COVID-19 The global pandemic has had an impact on our activities. While our Plant-for-the-Planet international offices employees were able to work from home - thanks to digital communication tools and well prepared workflows - in Mexico our forest restoration team cannot. However, we are happy to report that we are able to continue working on our planting site and thanks to the implementation of measures ensuring the safety of our workers. Regarding our Academies, we had to move to an online format to ensure the safety of the participants and their family. THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE HOMES FOR ORPHANED, ABANDONED AND/OR NEGLECTED CHILDREN PLACED UNDER THE CARE OF THE FOUNDATION BY THE GOVERNMENT OF HONDURAS.

Haiti H2O: Hope to Opportunity has been partnering in Haiti since 2006, empowering communities to build their infrastructure in education, health and sanitation, homes, and businesses.

At Casa Viva, they learn by doing, by intentionally seeding and promoting vibrant life for children. When they share their work with others, they do so not from theory, but from experience. Casa Viva Costa Rica is their home base.

FAN’s core mission was to restore Hope for the people of Haiti by providing food medical care, shelters, homes, and education. FAN is now working on building its first water supply system in the country; in addition supporting autism around the world.

Hands Across the Water initially supported 32 kids who had lost their parents and were living in a tent at Baan Tharn Namchai in Phang-Nga, a town on Thailand's northern Andaman coast. The kids were left without food, shelter or support. Hands, along with a number of equally committed supporters pooled their resources to build the first orphanage at Baan Tharn Namchai. Today, Baan Tharn Namchai is home to over 100 children and Hands now supports over 250 at-risk children across seven homes throughout Thailand. Hands has a policy of 100% of all donations going to the children and their communities.
