Our mission is to help partner organizations raise funds and awareness for building projects to better serve orphans in their care. We help provide safety, security and sustainability through the generosity of donors and supporters who want to help orphans.

World Children's Initiative, Inc., is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, dedicated to improving medical and educational systems for children in developing areas worldwide. Established in 2005, WCI grew from the experience of three young professionals of South Asian descent during their visit to Sri Lanka in February 2005. For Dr. Kanishka Ratnayaka, who is an ethnic Sinhalese, and Mr. Pratheepan Gulasekaram, an ethnic Tamil, the service mission was a deeply personal matter undertaken to aid friends,and family. The two men reached across the frontlines of a bloody, decades-long civil war to collaborate in the relief effort. The group of friends visited relief camps and orphanages to provide medical assistance at makeshift treatment centers. In addition, they brought school supplies and clothes to orphanages on the hard-hit eastern shore of the island. While providing immediate relief, the group also surveyed potential long-term projects for improvement of pediatric health care. Based on this assessment the team decided to initiative their maiden initiative, Project Peds: Sri Lanka.  Project Peds designed and constructed a new children's hospital in Matara, Sri Lanka, an area hard-hit by the tsunami. Currently, WCI is launching its second initiative, Project Heart: Uganda, aiming to improve screening and treatment of childhood heart disease in Uganda and east Africa.

Marc Gold, the founder of the 100 Friends Project, is a philanthropic traveler who aims to provide assistance to some of the most needy people in the poorest parts of the world who are lacking in medical, educational and financial resources. The organization improves these people's quality of life in a number of ways. Sometimes the help comes in the form of financial assistance. Usually this would be a one-time donation but sometimes this can be followed up with further payments. In some circumstances, donations can consist of blankets, medications, food, and other practical everyday items that can significantly improve people's standard of living. The 100 Friends Project has helped people living in poverty and deprivation to set up businesses of their own, get off the streets and into safe housing, benefit from an education, access vaccinations and medical care and brings people hope and the chance of a future. The project also proves what an important and significant difference can be made with very small amounts of money and resources, when it is distributed directly into the hands of those whose needs are the greatest.

The mission of Light in the World Development Foundation is to enhance the dignity and quality of life of children, families, and people living in our communities in U.S.A and Africa by eliminating barriers to opportunity and helping people in need reach their fullest potential through the power of organization, projects, donations, and philanthropy.

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to alleviating human suffering around the globe. UMCOR’s work includes programs and projects in disaster response, health, sustainable agriculture, food security, relief supplies, and more.

Two-fold. First, reconciliation between US and it's former enemy, North Vietnam and ally South Vietnam. This is particularly focused on ARVN (South Vietnamese Army), the Viet Cong/VC and North Vietnamese Army/NVA, as well as between the two countries and its peoples. Two, VWAM's humanitarian programs and projects impact the poor and disadvantaged people of Vietnam through healthcare, medical mission teams, and heart surgeries for children. In addition, Vets With A Mission takes Vietnam veterans back to Vietnam in order to make peace with their past, and honor their service. Finally, VWAM assists and supports the Church and Christians in Vietnam through various ministry programs and projects.

The Mission of CDRS is to provide emergency relief, healthcare and logistics services in response to large disasters and to improve the health, education and social welfare status of communities by: 1) Providing comprehensive, competent, and compassionate humanitarian aid during times of disaster, deploying to the disaster zone as soon as possible 2) Providing sustainable and affordable quality healthcare services 4) Providing comprehensive preventive health education programs and clean water projects 5) Working with local communities to help them take a leadership role in managing their healthcare needs in partnership with the existing healthcare system 6) Provide Empowerment and Education Projects for women and youth in poor and neglected areas

About Us: Our Bridgeport club was founded in 1992, and is part of Soroptimist International of the Americas which was founded in 1921. Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. A 501(c)(3) organization, Soroptimist relies on charitable contributions to fund its programs. Local members join with almost 100,000 Soroptimists in more than120 countries and territories to contribute time and financial support to community-based projects benefiting women. Soroptimist International has consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council, which oversees U.N. activities promoting human rights. In addition to sponsoring the awards programs, our club has participated in community programs focused on various health and human service issues for women and girls, such as the Center for Women and Families, Mi Casa/My Home, Women and Men’s Health Project, Project Courage, and Local Soup Kitchens. LCIF, was established in 1968 as the humanitarian arm of Lions Clubs International. It supports the activities of Lions throughout the world with particular emphasis on blindness prevention and sight restoration projects (SightFirst), youth programs, aiding the disabled, and emergency and disaster relief grants to assist communities impacted by natural catastrophes.

The Charity works in Romania, seeking to relieve poverty, promote education and provide hope & opportunity for many through a variety of projects which include Evangelistic Outreach, Food Distribution, Medical Support, Social Assistance, Education, Child Care, Life Skills Training and Housing provision.

RMF’s founding in 2005 was based on a disaster relief initiative providing immediate relief to the victims of the December 2004 Tsunami in Southeast Asia, and over the years has continued providing relief to the victims of disasters in Pakistan, Kenya, Mozambique, Myanmar/Burma, Peru, Haiti, Japan, Phillippines, Nepal, South Sudan and the United States.  Always striving to be fast, lean, and effective, RMF works hand in hand with local populations to ensure aid goes where it is needed most. Many of our disaster relief projects have turned into successful longer term development projects as we always aim to stay until we leave a sustainable impact, build capacity and are not needed anymore.

We’re a humanitarian organization aimed at tackling the causes of poverty and injustice in the world, using an approach of building people which promotes the growth and development of the whole person. Through projects which encourage people to become active participants in decision making, it empowers individuals to decide their own future and the future of their communities.
