Pratthanadee is an award-winning charity providing life-changing training for underprivileged women and girls in Bangkok and the rural Isaan region of Thailand. The Foundation empowers under-educated women and girls to become confident, independent and ambitious individuals. Through training in crucial skills, such as negotiation, self-presentation, and goal-setting, women are equipped to access better job opportunities and higher salaries. They leave training with the lifelong tools they need to build a more positive life for themselves and their families. The women that Pratthanadee works with have often migrated from a poor rural area to the city, in order to find work and send money home to their families. Over half moved to Bangkok when they were under 18, often on their own. 34% reached only primary school and the remainder have high schooling only and no additional training. They have few marketable skills and little work experience. On arrival in Bangkok, they find their employment opportunities restricted to unskilled manufacturing and service-sector occupations, and the commercial sex sector is one of the few places where they can earn a good wage. As a result, they easily get stuck in a cycle of unstable, unregulated or low-paid work. These women face a high risk of violence and exploitation as they are: - Often isolated in Bangkok and cut off from their usual support network back home. - Financially dependent on a particular employer or a relationship, and therefore unwilling to question any behaviour that might result in losing money to send for their families. - Often working in high-risk jobs where they feel easily replaceable, such as domestic homes, massage and entertainment parlours, and factories. We aim to help two groups: 1) Uneducated women who are already in Bangkok, either looking for work or stuck in a cycle of low quality employment. 2) Teenage girls who are at risk of falling into the same trap. The underlying philosophy of our organization is best found in the words of Ruby Manikan, "If you educate a man you educate a person, but if you educate a woman you educate a family."

PAR-Projects' mission is to empower diverse communities of people who believe in the arts. As educators, we provide classes and workshops related to creative career paths. As working artists, we enjoy hosting thought-provoking exhibitions and collaborations with regional artists focused on making creatively compelling statements.

Our mission is to provide courses, workshops, individual, family and group consulting/ therapy as well as long term programs for children, teenagers and adults from differet social groups in Bulgaria. We believe that by making psychological work (which is still stygmatised in Bulgaria) more popular and accessible, we encourage young people and adults to explore themselves, their inner world, their emotions and fears, to understand their behavior and attitudes for success and failure better, to learn about relationships, to gain self awareness and relational awareness by being part of a community. We believe that understanding and acceptance of all differences will create a positive attitude and active citizenship and will influence our environment, our country and our lives in a in a very positive way.

The mission of Inner-City Arts is to engage young people in the creative process in order to shape a society of creative, confident, and collaborative individuals. We believe that the arts and creativity are transformational. Inner-City Arts envisions a society that honors the human capacity for creativity and values its cultivation in the education of young people.

Abbey Arts is a nonprofit based in Seattle, Washington. We curate all ages, intimate listener-oriented concerts and creative arts experiences. We do this primarily at our home venue Fremont Abbey Arts Center, but also at the Ballard Homestead, St Mark’s Cathedral (Capitol Hill), University Heights Center (U-District), and other unique spaces. We foster cross-collaborations between art mediums and artists of all ages and backgrounds.  Many Abbey Arts events feature local developing artists supporting experienced touring headliners. These are definitely shows where you may “see them first!" Our mission is to curate welcoming arts and cultural experiences where people of all ages and incomes can explore creativity, enjoy beauty, grow empathy and increase awareness. Supporting vulnerable persons and survivors of human trafficking by providing income-generating opportunities, social reintegration, and programs for self-empowerment. We believe in: - Income generation so that vulnerable women can gain economic independence. - Educational and social programs for intellectual empowerment. - Using business sensibilities to achieve humanitarian goals.

Fly the Phoenix believes that education, as well as daily food, are basic human rights. In order to combat the imbalances of these rights, we are creating sustainable, 25-year cycle, educational community programs. These are funded by our local income-initiatives, challenges and international donations through our registered charity, Fly The Phoenix.

Our mission is to create a stimulating, nurturing environment where children can develop intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially while adults become better parents through education, observation, and community support. At Parents Nursery School (PNS), we believe that families thrive when children are given ample space to explore, pretend, and learn through play, and parents are actively involved in their child’s education. We also believe that parents become more effective and connected when given the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of early childhood development through parent education, informal observation, and community exchange. PNS provides an environment where families work together in the true cooperative spirit to create a positive learning environment for the children and the parents.
