Bellevue Wolverine Boosters

BHS Water Polo Boosters mission is to promote water polo in the area, enable athletes to practice and compete in a safe, positive, and fun environment and allow athletes to enjoy water polo while balancing other pursuits and interests. The team provides training and competition, in a no-cut sport, not supported by the school district or otherwise known as a club sport, for all athletes regardless of skill or experience level. While success in the water is important, our coaches also believe personal development out of the water is just as critical. The coaches promise to create an environment where athletes can reach their full potential both physically and personally by utilizing positive coaching techniques and stressing teamwork and sportsmanship.

The Greater Seattle Bureau Of Fearless Ideas

The Greater Seattle Bureau of Fearless Ideas is a corps of youth and adults, staff and volunteers, families and local citizens who believe that the power of words, well-written and well-spoken, can open doors to important opportunities. Our tutoring, writing, and publishing programs prepare young people, ages 6 to 18, for a successful future by developing strong writing skills, championing diverse communication styles, and motivating young people to share their stories. Programs at each Fearless Ideas center reach into the surrounding neighborhood to involve adults and businesses in helping youth become engaged citizens and confident leaders. All programs are free and open to families from any socio-economic background.

WAI Wanaka

We are a team of passionate people working to connect our community to our environment, so that both thrive. WAI Wanaka's kaupapa* is to empower communities to take action to achieve measurable, enduring benefits by better understanding their water, their environment and their impacts. With almost every catchment in Aotearoa New Zealand at risk from human activity in one way or another, we believe that it will take all of us, working together, to safeguard and sustain Te Taiao**. *Kaupapa is the māori word for purpose. **Te Taiao is the natural world that contains and surrounds us - land, water, climate and living beings. Te Taiao also refers to the interconnection of people and nature, an eternal relationship of respect, reciprocity and interdependence.

The Actors Theatre Workshop

The Actors Theatre Workshop (ATW) was founded by Thurman E. Scott in 1990, with a mission to help people achieve their potential through drama. From conservatory classrooms to housing facilities to corporate boardrooms, we use our creative process technique as a tool to develop individual potential, create tangible change, and liberate the talents and abilities in people from all walks of life. ATW believes that creativity is the great equalizer and unifier among human beings, and that theater must play an active role in a community’s life. At ATW’s heart is our robust roster of community programs that use theater to engage historically marginalized populations, from children experiencing housing instability to formerly incarcerated persons.

Missions International Of America

This has been a difficult financial time for so many people in our country and inflation is even worse in Haiti. Not surprisingly, our donations have dropped drastically, threatening the operation of BRS. We are praying that many will step forward to sponsor one of our precious children. $125 covers tuition, books and uniform for a student for a year. $65 feeds him a muffin every school day. We had hoped to start a rice and beans lunch program with the help of an organization in Tennessee but it does not look like we will be able to afford it. Together we have accomplished so much and changed so many lives in a very stressed country. We are grateful. I know most of you hear the awful stories of gang activity in Port au Prince. It has kept us from going for over a year since we have to land in Port. But because you have helped us build Haiti leadership over the years, all projects are going forward even when we are not there. We never even thought that we could change Haiti but Savanette is a very different place than it was when we opened the Brad reddick school in 2006. IT started as a little school K-2 and now it has 400 students K- 11. When we started work there was no clean water and now there is abundant clean water and people come for miles to use our well water stations. There was no medical care, now there is a clinic that has provided care and medicines for hundreds for people. There had never been any opportunities for jobs People now work to grow vegetables, bamboo and raise rabbits. People are being hired as we speak to fix the septic system in the compound and people were hired to unload the container that arrived in November. There was just one church down the road and so much voodoo. Now we have not seen voodoo in years and little churches have cropped up throughout the Savanette area.

Founded in 1798, Milton Academy is an independent college preparatory K-12 school, boarding and day in grades 9-12, located eight miles south of Boston. Aids United

AIDS United’s mission is to end the HIV epidemic in the United States. In the ongoing work for social justice and true equity, ending the HIV epidemic in the United States is our chosen role. We pursue our mission through three primary strategies: strategic grantmaking; technical and capacity building assistance; and policy and advocacy.We envision a time when all people, governments and organizations commit to ending the epidemic and strengthening the health, well-being, and human rights of everyone impacted by HIV. We have seen firsthand how the intersectionality of social injustice, discrimination and health care disparity impacts those living with HIV, and we believe alleviating this struggle is a pivotal step toward our national well-being.

P2 L Pathways To Leadership

At P2L we believe that all children have the creative and intellectual power to be a positive agent in their schools, communities, and lives. Our students are challenged on a daily basis by stress, violence, and poverty; this impacts their ability to learn, make positive decisions, and form healthy relationships. For many, these challenges are overwhelming: they struggle academically, fall behind, and drop out. P2L works with students, teachers, and parents to change this trajectory. Through mentoring and interactive curriculum based in learning science, child development, social emotional learning, and neuroscience we help students to build self -image, resiliency, and social skills, and we motivate and teach them self-direction, self-management, and goal setting to enable them to become thriving and successful adults.

Epiphany School

Epiphany School is an independent, tuition-free middle school for children of economically disadvantaged families from Boston neighborhoods. We admit children of diverse faiths, races, cultures and cognitive profiles, believing in the Episcopal tradition that we find God in and through each other's presence. Epiphany's small classes, individualized curricula, and extended school days provide rigorous academic, moral and social instruction. In close partnership with families, we are an innovative learning community that affords structured support to help students thrive. Together we are a school that never gives up on a child. Epiphany challenges students to discover and develop the fullness of their individual gifts. We seek to prepare graduates who will contribute intelligently, morally, and actively to the society they will inherit.

Georgia Leadership Institute For School Improvement (GLISI)

GLISI's mission is to uplift school leaders > transform mindsets and action > create vibrant cultures of innovation > build excellent and equitable schools. We believe teachers are the key to creating learning environments that support every student, regardless of neighborhood, family income or race. To achieve this vision, GLISI works with teams of educators from school districts to craft strong leaders in education who have the will, skill, and courage to disrupt the status quo and create excellent and equitable learning environments for all. In the past five years alone, GLISI has served more than 80 school districts and more than 7,000 Georgia teachers who influence the lives of over 1.7 million students across our state.

Tennessee Parks & Greenways Foundation (TennGreen)

TennGreen Land Conservancy (formerly the Tennessee Parks & Greenways Foundation) is an accomplished, 501(c)(3) nonprofit land trust dedicated to protecting Tennessee’s natural treasures. Founded in 1998, we are the oldest accredited, statewide land trust in Tennessee. We serve all Tennesseans, and through collaboration with members, private landowners, local municipalities, and state and federal agencies, we work to create parks, establish wildlife corridors, expand existing protected public lands, and enhance public recreation opportunities. We believe that we must do more to protect our natural world so that future generations can enjoy the ecologically-rich, beautiful, and historically-significant treasures that make Tennessee unique.

From Books to Brilliance

From Books to Brilliance provides access to books and educational materials in impoverished communities. Countless children in our world grow up with no books. In Nicaragua and Guatemala, many of the rural poor live on less than one dollar a day. Without access to basic services such as potable water and sanitation, families struggle just to survive each day. Books are rarely found. At the local schools, teachers plan lessons and instruct with no textbooks. Children fortunate enough to attend school learn to read from words written on the blackboard, but without books cannot read to learn. Few children reach their intellectual potential. We believe that in creating access to books and information, a better future becomes possible for citizens living in abject poverty.
