Wolf Haven International is a nationally recognized sanctuary for captive-born, displaced wolves. Our mission is to conserve and protect wolves and their habitat. Toward that end, in addition to rescue and sanctuary, Wolf Haven offers a variety of educational presentations focused on wolves and conservation-related themes. Wolf Haven promotes wolf restoration in historical ranges and teaches the value of all wildlife. Since 1982, Wolf Haven has rescued 300 captive-born wolves and provided them with compassionate care, companionship with fellow wolves, and a safe lifetime home. Fundacion Via Cocina is a community based project focused on improving the health and economic development of vulnerable women, youth and underprivileged in Medellin Colombia. With a personalized training and mentoring system sharing healthy food recipes, cooking techniques and applied financial planning and entrepreneurial small business fundamentals, we build a program for individuals and families based on their current reality, applying the training to objectives created with them, for them, in their own home. Additionally, we provide classes to individuals and groups who want to learn to cook healthy dishes with local ingredients for their families, transforming them into uncommon flavors that are low in fat, oil, salt and sugar-free. These activities look to decrease frequency and severity of non-communicable diseases in the communities, including obesity, diabetes and cholesterol.

Since Its Establishment In 1967, The Association Has Acquired, Preserved And Maintained Over 800 Acres Of Local Native Landscapes Including Prairies, Savannas, Ravines, Woodlands And Wetlands For The Benefit And Enjoyment Of The Entire Community. We Continue Our Efforts To Restore The Land To Its Historical Landscape And Maintain These Critical Habitats. In Addition, To Promote A Connection Between The Community And The Land Within It, Our Preserves Are Home To Over 12 Miles Of Walking Trails Which Are Open To The Public Year Round.The Association Also Provides Naturalist-Led Environmental Education To School Children And Special Workshops Offered To Children, Adults And Families. Our Environmental Education Programs Are Designed To Develop An Understanding Of And A Love And Respect For The Natural World Around Us By Including Hands-On, Participatory Activities In A Natural Setting. Association Also Cooperates With Several Institutions Promote The Scientific Study Of Our Preserves.

OUR FOUR PART MISSION: CARING-for abused and neglected farmed animals. PRESERVING-our land for native wildlife. EDUCATING-about animal protection and environmental ethics. ADVOCATING-for a compassionate society In 2013, we rescued our first farmed animals. We knew that if we could share their stories of courage and survival against all odds, we could create life-saving change for farmed animals everywhere. Our virtual education programs, in-person tours, events, outreach, and advocacy have reached people worldwide while remaining a safe harbor for locally abused, neglected, and discarded farmed animals. We give each animal that enters our sanctuary the best care possible. Through our rehab and physical therapy program, special dietary needs, and unique emotional needs, we stop at nothing to ensure the animals have everything they need to thrive once they arrive at Tamerlaine, which will now be their forever home.

Project1808 promotes sustainable community development in Kabala, Koinadugu District, Sierra Leone by aiding young students in their efforts to identify and address the root causes of poverty, public and environmental health challenges, and other community-identified concerns. Among our project's specific aims are the following: Fostering academic excellence and nurturing a resilient knowledge base through student mentoring, tutoring, internships, and teacher training programs. Stimulating curiosity, creativity, and innovation through student generated projects that enhance knowledge and encourage students to implement their ideas in ways that benefit their communities. Facilitating local and global partnerships for knowledge exchange, training for students, teachers and community members, student mentoring, and resources to sustain the community knowledge base Our Model Project1808 Model for sustainable development At the core of our sustainable community model is an investment in disadvantaged youth, schools, and their communities to form the building blocks as LEGOs of healthy communities in Sierra Leone and Africa. Through specific GLocal (Global and Local) partnerships, we practice the concept of thinking globally and acting locally, enhancing the exchange of knowledge, increasing the cultural competency, and expanding the worldview of all of our participants. Project1808 is committed to optimizing partnerships between educational institutions locally, within Africa and overseas, particularly with the involvement of other African countries. We want to bring back hope to youths (and whole communities) whose lives, homes, families, schools, infrastructure, institutions were destroyed by 11 years of war in Sierra Leone.

Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 for solar panels to be placed on the homes of people who couldn't otherwise afford them, in developing countries. ​

The mission of the World Justice Project is to promote home-grown rule of law culture by: increasing understanding of the rule of law and its foundational importance; stimulating government reform, direct or indirect; and inspiring and fostering practical, locally-led programs that enhance and extend the rule of law.

1. To empower women and their families by the pursuit of local social development initiatives and rural improvement. 2. To provide social services to the members and their families in the areas of livelihood development, processing and marketing of farm products, community savings, home economics and sustainable agriculture. 3. To advocate for the promotion of women's rights and women empowerment. 4. To link with other organizations, networks and entities with similar goals and objectives with the organization.

We are a foundation responding to a humanitarian crisis affecting the innocent men, women and children forced from their homes by climate change, poverty and war. We identify needs not being met and aim to fill these needs by activating our network of logistical, financial and structural partners to provide these needs thoroughly and without hesitation. In addition to providing urgent needs, our mission is to deliver a more dignified, sustainable, and innovative response to the refugee crisis in Europe. We believe that refugee camps should be more inclusive, more self-sustaining and providing refugees with a better quality of life and adaptation process to their new environments. With collaborative efforts with interested corporations, other charities, refugees, volunteers, and donations, we are activating a network that re-defines the global refugee camps.

The Whispering Seed is a village based Home for Children and Sustainable Living and Learning Centre working in Myanmar and Thailand since 2004. We are a US registered 501 C3, tax-exempt charitable organization striving to bridge the traditions of sustainability and holistic education through innovative programs, trainings and design, drawing on the richness of local wisdom and traditional cultures along with renewed, socially appropriate models. With a pioneering spirit, Whispering Seed strives to support and build partnerships and collaborations between local groups within Myanmar and South and Southeast Asia, as well as with the international community. By supporting the diversity of cultures and richness of traditional wisdom within Myanmar along with the integration of new models for learning and sustainable development we are searching for creative solutions to the variety of challenges which Myanmar will face throughout the next critical years of development. WS is focused on five critical areas of development. With a holistic and integrated approach we aim to support the growth and development of a new society which is representative of the rich diversity of peoples and cultures of Myanmar. Friends of Casco Bay works to protect the health of Casco Bay because it is a place of national, regional, and personal significance. The Bay affects our quality of life, our tax base, and the weather in our region. Valued for its rich diversity of marine life, Casco Bay was designated an Estuary of National Significance by the federal government in 1990. At the heart of Maine?s most populated region, the Bay is of immeasurable value to the 42 communities in its watershed. The Bay sustains our economy, supporting a vast array of industries: shipping, tourism, commercial fish and shellfish harvesting, and oil transport. The Bay provides abundant recreational opportunities, from wind-surfing and angling to boating and beachcombing. Our community?s identity and wellbeing are inextricably linked to the health of the Bay. For the 300,000 people that call the watershed home, Casco Bay is a source of recreation, inspiration, and economic vitality.Friends of Casco Bay fills a unique niche in Maine?s environmental and nonprofit community. We are: Locally-focused: We are the only organization whose sole focus is protecting Casco Bay. Science-based: The positions we take are backed up by data collected by our highly trained staff and EPA-certified volunteers.  Pragmatic: We are results-oriented, striving for measurable outcomes that protect the environment. Collaborative: We know that protecting the Bay is a group effort, so we work closely with scientists, government officials, businesses, residents, and other partners.
