The Baldwin Fund, supports both new and established researchers investigating the causes, prevention and treatment of breast cancer. This research will include—but not be limited to—studies of the genetic, molecular, cellular and environmental factors involved in the development and progression of breast cancer; application of the knowledge thus gained to educate medical professionals and increase public awareness for the prevention, detection, treatment and advocacy for the patient of breast cancer; and studies of the outcomes of breast cancer detection and treatment on the patient, their families and society.

The foundation is an IRS registered non-profit 501(c) 3, public service charity designed for advocacy and service, created to promote change, through proactive means, in both the public and medical/dental professional sectors. At the forefront of our agenda is the firm establishment in the minds of the American public for the need to undergo an annual oral cancer screening, combined with an outreach to the dental and medical communities to provide this service as a matter of routine practice. Oral cancer takes more lives than cancers we routinely hear about, such as cervical, Hodgkin's lymphoma, skin (malignant melanoma), testicular, and many others. In the efforts to reduce the death rate from cancers in the US, the most significant progress has been made through early detection. Cervical, skin, prostate, and others that lend themselves to simple, opportunistic screenings and exams have all had their death rates reduced through programs promoting early discovery. Early discovery and diagnosis, yields better long-term outcomes, and lower morbidity to those who undergo treatments. Oral cancer is not hidden within the body in some hard to find location requiring an invasive examination, the majority of the time it is literally in plain view, right under your nose, and can be seen with the naked eye or felt with the fingers. In most cases, its early, highly survivable stages are easily detected in a 3 to 5 minute painless visual and tactile examination. Even the precancerous lesions, which can progress into malignancy, can be seen with the naked eye. An annual oral examination conducted by members of the dental and medical communities will have a definite impact on reducing the death rate associated with oral cancer. It is our mission to bring this about.

The Global Colon Cancer Association is the voice for the millions of colon cancer (CRC) patients worldwide. We advocate for patient centered policy around the globe to ensure increased awareness and screening, access to quality medical treatments and help our member organizations collaborate, innovate and leverage the full potential of effectuating change. The GCCA also supports the creation of new patient advocacy groups in developing areas which have no CRC organizations. The GCCA unites all stakeholders in the battle against this disease with one unified voice.

The HEADstrong Foundation was founded by Nick Colleluori, who passed away from cancer at age 21. During his treatments, Nick took note of resources that were lacking for cancer patients and the families who are all affected. Resources such as lodging when traveling for treatment, financial help with medical bills and other challenges, and the need for understanding and support. Today Nick’s mother Cheryl heads the Foundation, and we direct resources whenever we can to families in need.It is our goal to keep Nick Colleluori’s memory alive by being as relentless in helping others as he was.

Kids & Art uses the power of the arts and creativity to mitigate stress, anxiety, and trauma induced from the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric cancer and other critical medical conditions.Kids & Art provides families dealing with critical illnesses opportunities to engage in creative arts and wellness, effective in distracting children from adverse effects associated with treatment. Our programs focus on giving agency and control in the moment, community building and connection, and helping families feel less isolated, anxious, and fearful. Art is the secret sauce that enables us to make a difference in the lives of the families we work with.

The mission of No Stomach For Cancer is to support research and unite the caring power of people worldwide affected by stomach cancer.  November is Stomach Cancer Awareness Month, and our mission is to support research and unite the caring power of people worldwide affected by stomach cancer. The organization focuses on advancing awareness and education about stomach cancer, including Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer (CDH1/CTNNA1 Gene Mutation), provides a support network for affected families, and supports research efforts for screening, early detection, treatment, and prevention of stomach cancer. No Stomach For Cancer, Inc. is an approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization under the Internal Revenue Code.

To do so, we harness the power of technology to enable individuals and organizations to develop and support charitable programs. GVNG.org is also a fiscal sponsor and we provide fiscal sponsorship services to internal GVNG.org projects to help them get set up and running quickly. GVNG.org's projects span a wide range of topic areas, from disaster relief to veterans' work, climate change, mental health, humanitarian aid, and more. Believe In Tomorrow National Children's Foundation is a twenty-five year-old, non-profit organization with a mission to provide unique programs that bring comfort,joy and hope to critically ill children and their families. We believe in keeping families together during a child's medical crisis, and that the gentle cadence of normal family life has a powerful influence on the healing process. Believe In Tomorrow has provided more than a quarter of a million overnight accommodations to children from every state in the United States. Our programs include Children's Hospital and Retreat Housing and Hands On Adventures that provide ongoing support to children and families from the child's diagnosis to the end of the treatment process.

SebastianStrong Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that is raising awareness of childhood cancers and funding research for less toxic, more targeted childhood cancer treatments and cures. SebastianStrong was founded in 2017 to honor the life of Sebastian Ortiz (2000-2016) and his courageous 14-month battle with rhabdomyosarcoma. Since then, the Foundation has awarded more than $1.2 million in grants to fund new and cutting-edge medical research across the country in the hopes of one day eradicating childhood cancers. The Foundation also provides financial support to assist kids and their families with the hardships of battling cancer. Founded in 1957, the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California is the first and oldest, non-profit, social service sickle cell disease agency in the U.S. The MISSION of the SCDFC is to provide life- enhancing programs and services to individuals with sickle cell disease, to broaden public aware- ness about sickle cell disease and to promote medical research to find a cure. Currently approximately 250 million people worldwide carry the gene responsible for sickle cell disease (SCD) and other hemoglobin diseases. Each year about 300,000 infants are born with a major hemoglobin disease worldwide. In the US, 10% of the population is at risk for SCD. It is estimated that there are approx. 5,000 persons with sickle cell disease in Los Angeles.

With a mission to find a cure for brain cancer, HOTB fundraises to support the work of world-class medical researchers and doctors, dedicated to understanding the causes and prevention of brain cancer; developing earlier detection techniques; and discovering new and improved treatments. HOTB supports the life-changing research and treatment happening at UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and the UCLA Brain Tumor Center, which were designated a Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) in 2017 by the National Cancer Institute – one of only six brain cancer programs in the nation – recognizing UCLA’s breadth and depth in state-of-the-art, innovative, investigator-initiated translational research(bench to bedside) contributing to improved detection, diagnosis, and treatment of brain cancer.
