The Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation is a Canadian not-for-profit that has been working, in partnership with similar offices around the world, for nearly 40 years, to raise funds in support of the Medical Center. For more than a century, Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, a 500-bed facility located in the center of the city, has been known as a "Hospital with a Heart." The Medical Center relies on the support of friends around the world to provide the resources for research, special projects and capital development. Each year, the Hospital identifies its fundraising priorities. It usually includes a menu of projects to improve or update current areas within the Hospital as well as more specific development projects to improve current Centers of Excellence.

WHO WE ARE THE VINCENT OBIOMA OHAJU MEMORIAL (VOOM) FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO RAISE STANDARD OF CARE AND CREATE A SUSTAINABLE MEDICAL PROGRAM IN NIGERIA. VOOM FOUNDATION WAS BORN FROM THE VISION OF DR. VINCENT OHAJU, CHIEF OF SURGERY & MEDICAL DIRECTOR FOR TRAUMA SERVICES AT CHI ST. JOSEPH HEALTH IN BRYAN, TEXAS. ORIGINALLY FROM THE TOWN OF IHITTE, IN SOUTH EASTERN NIGERIA, DR. OHAJU HAD PERSONALLY WITNESSED THE EFFECTS OF INADEQUATE AVAILABLE MEDICAL CARE ON FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HIS FATHER, VINCENT OBIOMA OHAJU PASSED AWAY IN 1983 AT THE AGE OF 56 DUE TO COMPLICATIONS FROM PULMONARY ASPIRATION. A SIMPLE PROCEDURE SUCH AS BRONCHOSOCOPY READILY AVAILABLE IN EVEN THE SMALLEST HOSPITAL IN THE UNITED STATES COULD HAVE PREVENTED HIS DEMISE. IT WAS A CLOSE AND PERSONAL REMINDER TO DR. OHAJU THAT OVER 95% OF THE PEOPLE IN NIGERIA LIVE WITHOUT ESSENTIAL MEDICAL SERVICES. IN 2016 THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION RANKED NIGERIA 163 OUT OF 190 COUNTRIES IN HEALTHCARE. Hike Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to provide hearing devices for children with hearing losses between the ages of newborn and twenty years whose parents are unable to meet this special need financially. An estimated 100 children are provided with hearing devices each year. The Fund is the continuing philanthropic project of Job’s Daughters International. It is fully staffed by unpaid volunteers from throughout the United States and Canada. Total operating expenses are less than 5%.
